Default How can i make it To 400hp

just wondering how can i make my 2002 camaro ss get over or atleast 400 rwhp. I bought this car down in las vegas about a year ago. And it put down 390rwhp. And i believe it was tuned it dynojet or something like that. In henderson nevada. They guy i bought it off of used it for daily driving.

Current mods are:
226/236 525.525 110lsa asa cam
Pacesetter longtubes, slp cats, 3 inch exhaust
80mm bbk throttle body
The oval k&n fileter ( not sure what its called)
Ls6 intake

My car is a 6 speed

Can i make more power just off a tune? Or what can i buy to push it over the 400 mark.

Unless you have emissions, rip the cats out.
Or get a Chrs1313 ram air setup with a new lid.

So I would just need to take the cats off and maf? Would an under drive pulley be necessary?

The under drive pulley is probably not necessary, but it WOULD help.

Ok.so it doesn't seem too hard to pick up another10hp. I'll be getting a maf and ud pulley and taking the cats off. I dont like the cutouts so i wont be doing that. Now another question is how much do they usually charge for a tune?

Tune will range from 3-500. Cutting ur cats out and welding in some strait pipes should not even cost you $50. Ive heard you can find the GM 85mm truck mafs and use a special harness that allows you to use it on your fbody. Just do some research and shop around.

What muffler you have? And I dont think the oval filter is the best thing in town. Get a 98mm LID and U/D pulley.

Or get a FAST 92mm ported and call it a day(I got 17rwhp from it).

Ok so i should go with the slp lip, slp ram air vent thing under lid, and ud pulley. I have a slp maf. Just dudnt think it would actually give power. And i currently have the slp loudmouth 2 .

And how much is a fast 92 combo.? Or what is a good price to pay.
Im new to this guys so any and all info is appreciated/

The slp lid, exhaust, and maf are fine, but don't feel like you have to stick with slp for everything else. The ssra or chris1313 are probably better ram air setups, and the slp ud pulley is just a powerbond pulley with a price mark up.

New fast 92 setups are running around $850, nick williams/ptm/whoever 92mm throttle bodies are around $300-350 depending on the vendor, so a 92/92 setup would be around $1200ish.

Don't bother with the MAF, it's not going to do much for you and that's $200+ for nothing.

Keep the one you have, or toss it completely and go SD.

I mean don't bother spending $200+ on a bigger/fancier MAF that most likely will not gain you anything (unless the rest of your intake setup is optimized for that size).

If you're going to do anything, remove the MAF alltogether and have the car run in speed density (SD). That will get you a few hp by removing the MAF restriction completely.

Otherwise, keep the stock MAF and put your money towards other suggestions like better lid or ud pulley.

How much is your budget? If you're at 390 rwhp why don't just buy a set of 243 heads and call it a day. You'll be over 400 mark guaranteed.
