Default l33 cam only at 8.6psi

Just got off the rollers. Put down 504rwhp/670lbft at 8.6lbs through a th400. More details and graph to follow. Added one degree of timing and the car made 10 more horsepower but lost over 50ftlbs so I backed it back down.

Should be a stout setup for sure. What cam did you decide to run if you don't mind me asking?

I bought it off of sprayed01 on the forums here. Specs are 226/228 .585/.592 lift on a 115+4 lsa. I'm also running an ls1 intake and head studs, everything else is stock.
I got the Holley coils hooked up and a boost controller on it now and I will be hitting up the dyno this coming Friday for some 14-15psi pulls and then I'm off to the track on Saturday. First time to the track with 2 degrees less timing it went 126mph and it wasn't pulling until after the 60' mark.

I made a mistake on the torque number it was 617 not 670.
First pull 161kpa bleeding down to 152

Second pull 142kpa bleeding down to 135kpa.

I need to figure out if my wastegate isn't closing. I'm losing boost and not getting to max boost until 5000rpm.

Holy guacamole!!!!!!!!! What car do you have it in and what type of tubo manifold set up are you using.

Thats the #'s I'd like to make. Just picked up a 99' Formula A4 w/ blown engine and I'm going to do a L33 or LQ4/9 if I can find one reasonable.

Will the L33 make more boosted power than the 6.0, I read some mo mo's thread saying that poop but I cant see it!!

Sorry I somehow missed your reply. It's in a 3000lb mustang and I'm using truck manifolds flipped backwards. As far as a 5.3 making more power than a 6.0 I think it really depends on the entire combo. It you have both engines with the proper setup the 6.0 will make more power every time. If you try to run a 6.0 with a little turbo it will make more useable power on a 5.3.
