Default Stock Bottom End LS3 makes 763rwhp/651rwtq UPDATE 800RWHP!!!

Here's one for you guys that I thought you would like! This 2013 C6 Corvette Grand Sport came to our shop nearly 10 months ago with 600 miles on the clock for a Stage 2 built Tickshift TR-6060, RPS Triple Disc clutch, Custom Tick Performance Blower cam and an A&A kit with a Vortech V3 T-trim blower. With the custom cam, and blower at 13-14psi it kicked out 690rwhp! Well, fast forward a few months and the owner slung the belt off the blower and thought he had damaged it. This customer lives in Florida and decided to send it back up here to us to look at the car and repair what was needed. Well of course that snowballed into, "How much power can we make on a stock LS3 bottom end"? Our reply was, "let's find out!!!"

So we decided to step things up a little bit and swapped the T-trim out for Vortech V7 Ysi blower and pullied it to 15psi. We also added another #7 methanol nozzle to the single #7 we already had installed via a Snow Methanol kit plumbed into the factory washer tank. We were hoping for 800rwhp when the smoke cleared, but we fell a little short as the blower just hasn't gotten into its sweet spot yet as guys regularly turn these YSI blowers to 35psi!!! We ended up making 763rwhp/651rwtq which is still damn impressive on a stone stock LS3 bottom end!

Modification list for the car includes:
Stock LS3 short block
Stock LS3 heads
Stock LS3 intake
Custom Tick Performance Blower cam (215/239 .604"/.621" 118+2)
A&A 8-rib supercharger system with Vortech V7 Ysi blower
Tick Shift TR-6060 Stage 2
RPS triple disc clutch
Snow Methanol dual nozzle system with 100% M1 methanol

Thanks guys!!!

Trent, it is a handful that is for damn sure. It's on 345/30/19 tires right now and it's hard to get a good reading on the wide band on the street during a WOT blast because it just hazes the tires even at 60mph.

I heard this car is getting CNC work done to heads and shooting for 800 rwhp or something crazy like that..
Wonder if the CNC work will put the car there

My next car is going to have this setup.

Any point in going with better flowing heads or a fast intake? Probably not right? (Street car)

As far as the heads are concerned I don't think they'd be a waste by any means but I do think a Fast intake would be a waste. Of course it will make more power, but at this level all we have to do is slap a smaller pulley on it and go.

FYI 150mph is 6750rpm...tach lost signal at 6500rpm on these pulls thus the drum speed graphs.

Saw it on fb earlier. How do you like the clutch? Makes me wonder what a set of heads will do for me. Want to get some but was planning on it when I build it. Oh what fuel system is it using?

A lot of guys and shops will tell you, "this clutch feels just like stock!!!" When in all reality it feels like you're pushing against a brick wall just trying to disengage the clutch during normal driving.

I can say with 100% honesty that this clutch feels like a damn LS7 clutch through and through. It disengages immediately as soon as you press the clutch in at the very top and engages comfortably close to the floor with an extremely smooth engagement. It drives like a kitten which from a triple disc clutch is freaking impressive as hell. The ONE thing that bothers me and I know it bothers the owner, is the floater plate rattles at idle slightly from the cam lope. Just about every RPS clutch owner says or complains about the same thing. That said, I could live with it due to just how nice the clutch drives.

It is using A&A's fuel system which is the stock pump in tank and an external pump as well. A&A says it's only good for 750-800rwhp and 850rwhp with a booster. Methanol is probably doing 8-10% of the WOT fueling so it's OK for now. Anymore though and it will need a different set-up that's for sure.

My friend has the BC3 in his 900 wheel 5th gen and the pedal feel is nice. I was kinda curious if it would be different in a corvette but doesn't sound like it.

That must be with the Bosch 044 pump correct? I know you can upgrade to the A1000 from what I heard. Might take that route or just go with the ECS fuel kit since it comes with it.

I believe it is a Bosch 044. Yes you can upgrade to the A1000 as well. I haven't seen the ECS kit, got a link?

The car wont fall on its face at 5800 RPM and pull hard all the way to redline with better heads.

Also Ls3's love boost, but they aren't a fan of 750rw+ for very long. Seems to be the breaking point for them, even with a spot on tune.

Yea, we've told the customer numerous times that this isn't going to last for very long. He wants to push the boundaries though and build it with forged parts when it does go.
