Bolt on L33 370whp *flame suit on
I have a 1999 pontiac trans am that i am doing a very slow build on. I eventually want to go turbo but life happens so its one step at a time. I had this tuned at a place that dynos low compared to local area dynos. It has also been verified several times to read within a few hp to a mustang dyno that is two hours away from this one. Reason being people as usual say a dyno jet always reads higher. The tuner himself was very surprised at my numbers as he said normally other bolt on LS vehicles run around the 330-340 range and never higher. Now onto what i have done...
I have a 5.3 L33 with an LS2 cam installed. My mods list is as follows: SLP lid, Smooth bellow, ported throttle body, LS6 intake, ASP underdrive pulley, Ebay headers, SLP 2.5" Y pipe modified to fit headers, Magnaflow cat back, 3.42 geared 99 6 speed 10 bolt rear, aluminum driveshaft, truck heat sink coils, and trailblazer stall.
My first pull brought 351.48 hp and 329.72 tq which i was very happy about. After tune my numbers jumped to 371.64/348.89. My tuner couldn't believe it and i was in disbelief myself. I was hoping i could at least make the same power as my old setup which i think i surpassed. I will find out september 14th as this is when i will be going to the track. My previous best with same bolt ons except untuned LS1 and stock stall was 12.93@107.58.

i should add these are std numbers and my sae numbers were about 10/10 less. Which i still think is pretty good but i guess i don't know truly what autos do with bolt ons. Figured these were high for a 5.3 but since no one replied yet i'm guessin this is normal? lol

Yep they have 799 heads and I took a gamble on them having ls2 springs from the factory. As I'm sure several here already know there is little information out there on l33's. The stock springs had no stripe on them and factory compression is 9.9:1.
