Thanks man. The plan is to drive the car and enjoy it this summer, it's been in pieces for almost 2 years. I plan on swapping pullies either in the late fall or early spring and then a retune. The pully combo I'm running right now is about 10,000 blower RPM's short of the max for the D1, so I still have a bit left in the blower

Damn, didn't realize the D1's had that much potential. I bet it's fun as hell to drive. I'd love you know how much money you've got into the blower setup alone. I would love to go the D1 route, but afraid it's going to be way too much for my budget.

I think I can squeeze 700-750 out of this combo when I max out the D1. My biggest problem is my elevation... Car was tuned at 5,100 ft and I drive in the 6,500-7,300 elevation where I live. It is fun as hell to drive, It's making 500-TQ at 3,800 rpm

I have about $6,000 into my forced induction setup... Blower, intercooler/plumbing, J bracket, fuel system, little misc things, ect ect. If your serious adout putting together a blower setup I would do it in pieces rather than a kit. It will save you money in the end because you'll have already upgraded things. Shoot me a PM if your getting the itch I can point you in the right direction if you need.

Right now I'm pretty torn between putting a nice nitrous setup on the car, or saving a little more and do a D1 or F1 setup. I appreciate the help. I may hit you up for some guidance though.

Sounds good man either one will wake it up for sure, I vote forced induction... No bottles to refill, power is always on tap.

F1 would be killer on your setup.

I made ~760rwhp at 16psi/16 degrees of timing with my D1 setup, and there's more left in it.

I may succumb to the urge and sell the D1 and get an F1 in the near future.

Well, I'll put it like this... if someone where to offer to buy my D1SC, I'd sell it.

I'm torn at the moment between going the nitrous route, or holding off and saving more for a procharger. A guy I know has a really nice plate kit with a ton of extras for a good price, but the more I think about it, the more I'm leaning toward holding off a year, saving my money, and getting a nice D1SC setup.

9.8:1 compression... -6cc dish mahle piston, unmilled 317 heads, and LS9 gaskets, on a 3.905" bore.

Here's the big difference, at least it was to me... with nitrous, the only time you get to 'feel' it, is at WOT, 100% throttle. With a Procharger, as soon as the bypass valve closes, which is dependant on your setup and could be as little as 20-25% throttle, you instantly get more power and torque. Keep your foot out of it, and it's not causing any negative effects or hurting mileage.... and there's never a bottle that runs out or you have to wait for the pressure to build.

Sure it's more, but it's worth it, ask anyone who's gone FI, they love it.

Thanks for the info! I have a D1 sitting in the garage as well and currently at 11.3:1, but been thinking of dropping compression to around 10:1 and giving it a try. This gives me some good base numbers.

While I do agree with Alchemist's statement above ^^^ I must say the biggest reason I went forced induction was to avoid blowing the welds on my intake and the fear of my floor pan falling out at 140mph
