Default New numbers Iron LS3 (New #'s and graphs added)

Scroll down to post #7 for updated numbers and post #8 for new graphs...

Changed my fuel pump due to the stocker being weak and not able to keep up...my good friend and tuner Phil (Bluecat) finally had a few minutes to readjust the fueling...car was 9.8:1 air/fuel with the cutout closed and 10.09:1 cutout open after changing the fuel pump. Final numbers are the best so far...I expected it to lose a little due to other mods, but I'm thrilled with the results.

Previous numbers were 464/427 sae
Changes this time were Strange S60, chromemoly drive shaft, New fuel pump, put power steering back on the car.
New numbers are 470/430 sae

It looks odd the car didn't lose but in actuality it did slightly. Previous uncorrected numbers were 475/438...New uncorrected numbers are 466/429...the difference in correction factors is due to the Dynojet adjusting for a 20 degrees hotter day with 20% more humidity on the new numbers...so essentially adding the S60, heavier drive shaft, and power steering only cost me 9hp and 9 lb ft. Hope I explained all this good enough for everyone. ;-)

Here's the graph...the highlighted line is at 3000 rpms.

The hotter air cost you that power. That's what the correction factor is for. To establish a same plane comparison regardless of the day/weather

I understand that...I just find it hard to believe that changing from no power steering to power steering, swapping out the stock 10bolt for a Strange S60, and swapping the stock aluminum driveshaft out for a chromemoly shaft didnt take away anything from the car.

Possible the old fuel pump was holding down the old setup, and this balanced it out?

It's possible...the pump was very weak.

Just a quick update...Redyno'd one more time a few weeks ago before pulling the 6speed to swap to a stalled 80E...no auto numbers yet, but I was very pleased with how the car did on its last 6speed dyno. I did spray 100 shot also, but the car not being setup for nitrous affected those numbers. It did ok, but not spectacular on the bottle. the nitrous is just something to play with till I can fund a Procharger on this car. Don't have a shot of the graph with me either...

476/436 NA
554/575 100 shot

Very nice man. Stout NA numbers, and on the sauce, I'm sure she's a real handful.

Thanks...I wish it did a little better on the bottle. But its cool for now. Like I said, its all setup for a procharger, so not exactly optimal for nitrous. It hits hard, but peters off up top. It was hard to hook up with the 6 speed for sure. Im in the process of swapping in a 4L80e and a Yank Pro 3600...

You going the D1SC route, or F1A?

D1SC...With stock LS3 guts, I don't wanna push it too hard. Was looking for around 650-700 with a 6spd, so probably try to stay around 600-650 with an auto. Plenty of power for fun on and off the street/track but still manageable. I have a stock LS3 rotating assembly with ARP rod bolts, main studs, and head bolts...so it should be ok.

I know a lot of people warn not to boost/nitrous with a .065" over 6.0, but hitting the car with a 150 shot is way more abuse than the procharger will do to the engine...so its holding up great. Should be fine with boost. At least in my case, there doesn't seem to be an issue with core shift.
