Default Disappointing pull on the bottle

Shop in town had a dyno day today so I figured I would throw mine on there and see what it did on and off the bottle. Well off the bottle I was pleased, it did 344/358. On the bottle(150 shot) it only made 434/425... I know a dyno is just a number and usually a disappointing one at that, but that seemed abnormally low especially the torque number. Im thinking it may have picked up a knock and pulled to much timing. I know the car runs good and even if 434 is right the track times are good in my book.

This was a dynojet, and it was about 60 degrees today. Anyone else think I may have had a problem or was it just one of those things?

We need more details. Also, how is it being sprayed? Wet or dry? Plate, fogger, puck, direct port, money maker?

Sorry... its a wet nozzle kit, bottle had about 6lbs in it @ 950psi. It has 4 degrees pulled for when I spray. And I didnt get an AFR because my sensor went bad on mine and they didnt hook one up.

Do you have a screen fitting at the Nitrous solenoid? NOS brand has them, not sure if other vendors use them.

Anyways, mine have gotten blocked with trash in the past and got to the point I couldn't even tell if my 125 shot was coming on. Creeps up on you...just gets progressively weaker.

Where is the screen located? The fitting going into the noid from the main line?

Yes, the fitting that screws into the "in" side of the N2O noid.

I'll look into getting one of those! As for anything else, I think I'll pull a couple more degrees of timing and go from there

hmm without any kinda data logging its kinda hard to tell. might be worth the $100 or so to put it back on a dyno with all the senors hooked up and see what it does. could be power left on the table.

No need to replace the part...it's just a metal screen. Clean if needed and reinstall.

I would think there's more left in it. I've run a few cobras that make a bit over 500 and put cars on them. It just doesn't make sense. I'll probably buy credits for hp tuners and use my buddys computer. See what its doing during a pull.... whats odd is I ran it the week before and it did just fine. Made clean hard pulls through each gear. Maybe it sitting still on a dyno, not getting the same amount of air changed something?

prob not , it takes some serious MPH to change the amount of air pressure going in the intake. in other words RAM AIR a positive pressure in your intake tract takes vehicle speed of 125+ mph. Spectre reported on their speedliner it was 205mph before RAM AIR was achieved.

10 times out of 10 shitty results are from a shitty nitrous tune or shitty jetting. Fix it before you blow your car up

You only have to buy credits if you want to make changes to the tune. Data logging cost nothing.
