In process now of trying something new with the cam to help it breathe better up top.

Will post gains and track results once it's completed.

LLSR with specs equivalent to a 234/242 hydraulic still on 113+3 but lift bumps to .650/.620". Should wake it up and let me shift much higher without losing much off idle.

3700lbs with you in it.... isn't that bad!

Good et/mph for what it is. I'm guessing it has been very reliable?!?!

Have you done any weight reduction?

Extremely reliable. First week of October I drove it from Fayetteville, AR to Biloxi, MS then proceeded to drive it for Cruisin the Coast in 10mph bumper to bumper traffic in the heat.

Didn't do anything but put gas in it the whole trip. Didn't even need to add any oil.

While that feet might not be all that impressive at first glance it's worth considering that any time this thing leaves my garage it is getting the snot wrung out of it.

The car has no a/c and it's all removed (pcm is in the fiberglass a/c box on the firewall), no sound deadener under the carpet, some tubular control arm pieces, and that's really about it. It's all steel and glass, has 4 speaker plus 12" sub stereo, heat, and full interior.

The aluminum block dropped a good chunk of weight. LS1 fbody front disc brakes dropped about 15lbs per side I think, and just this week I installed an aluminum radiator to lose another 20lbs off the nose.

There aren't many good places to lose weight in a Chevelle without hurting reliability or safety. For example a lightweight race battery or removing the heavy door crash bars. Most are so heavy due to having an iron big block under the hood
