418rwhp and 372 ft/lbs through the mufflers and unlocked converter

6.2% converter slip

The torque graph is super flat, from just over 4500rpm-6100rpm where I stopped the pull it never drops under 350 ft/lbs.

I'm running 27.5* timing and I have it tuned in 2nd gear to hit 12.8:1 afr but my wideband was on the fritz so I'm not sure what it's seeing in 3rd. It might be a slightly rich.

I know these aren't the high numbers most people post but I like to document everything. For reference the same car, same dyno, with an ls1 and mostly stock 799s and 230/238 EPS cam made 389rwhp and 345 rwtq. That setup went 11.67@115mph and 7.45@94mph 1/8th.

Sounds like real world #'s. I bet its fun to drive with all that torque.

The dyno isn't an optimistic one
Through a stalled auto and a 12 bolt I think it's pretty stout
It picked up around 30 wheel hp from the ls1 it had before, and the torque curve is hilariously flat

I've driven a couple milder 454 cars and trucks and this thing has as much torque everywhere it sees as those did, granted a 3600 converter means it's never really below 2000 and usually above 2500ish with much throttle.

I was curious but know enough to not worry about dyno numbers. This thing is so fun to drive and pulls insanely hard...I run 2nd gear out to 6800rpm and it is still not nosing over much (graph peaked at 6100 and I shut it down).

Not that I think 445-450rwhp locked is in any way "bad" for some hand ported 799s, mild cam, and the heavy *** drivetrain it's running through.

Just a reminder for everyone who thinks all heads/cam 6.0 are going to make 480-500 wheel hp. It's not a whole lot easier with 6.0 as it is with 5.7, but the torque gains through the power band are what's really valuable with the swap (and in my case 100k less miles on the shortblock).

I keep forgetting to bring the dyno sheet to work with me...

This is the absolute truth right there! I try to tell people this all the time but they believe otherwise lol

Nice numbers! That would be roughly 443whp locked.

Nice gains, definitely curious to see how it runs at the track.

I might be going friday but I only have street tires right now. Last year I cut a 1.88 60ft on them though (Nitto 555 285/40r17). Should get some ballpark trap speeds though. I'm hoping to see 120 is good air but think it should run 118 or so most nights due to poor DA (typically 1500-3000ft)

Not really pleased with it yet but hoping it will come around.

Sucks about the DA and traction. My car is extremely sensitive to DA changes as well, where even the 60' varies wildly between cold days and hot days.

Ran that same cam in my ls3. It has a great powerband.

EPS 230/238 113+2 peaked at 6200 in a ls1 combo, so it didn't strike me as odd this would peak a tad lower in a 6.0 with an extra degree of advance ground in.

It doesn't feel like it falls off much if at all on the street though...the car will pull hard to nearly 7000rpm. Just need to get it hooking at the track to figure out what it likes for shift points.

Interesting, I know the LS3 guys love the 230/238, but Martin has (had) a 230/238 as well for his ls1/6/2 motors also. Seems like a good street cam, makes good torque and peaks relatively early so you don't have to spin very high.

Finally got some solid track numbers. I logged a pass and the AFR was a steady 12.6-12.8 in 3rd and it was holding all 27.5* timing through the run. The car responded well to a drop in shift points. Previously had them set at 6800 and backed down to 6400, lost no MPH but gained ET. This cam in a 6.0 def likes to hold in the meat of the power band and not be rung out like it did in the ls1 which liked to shift at 6750rpms.

For those who can't see the pic it went 7.25@94 in the 1/8th and 11.46@116.7mph in the 1/4 in 800ft DA at a raceweight of about 3700lbs with me in it.

Good results! .21 & 1.7 MPH 6.0 vs 5.7.
I would bet a ported FAST LSXRT Intake & 1 7/8" LTS would add
.30 & 2.5+ MPH, even bigger longer torque plateau along with
Higher and longer HP Peak & carry 500 RPM Farther.
Add Cold Ram Air from grill ( or headlight openings like the old Ford
Thunderbolts! Easy 30+ HP the last 1/8 in a quarter. Probably
Another 2 MPH+ don't know if you Have 4 or 2 headlights) if you don't already have it. Just food for thought. You have a baddass ride as it
Is but like 99.9% of us on this site we always want more. LOL!

2 headlight car

Yeah, lots of little things I could do. At the end of the day I'm fairly happy now that it's at the cutoff for no roll bar.

The blue 2011 GT in the background went 12.23@114mph on street tires. Car has a tune and off road H pipe. 3.73 manual trans car.
