With the release of the new 8-speed automatic transmission, many people have been wondering exactly what the power handling potential would be on the A8 C7 Z06 vs. the previously released M7 manual transmission. We are happy to say that the performance gains are very comparable as we have seen on several builds so far, and this particular customer received the full Vengeance treatment on his A8 Z06.
This particular customer residing from Tennessee decided to bring his car to the next level with aftermarket performance modifications and tuning with another local shop shortly after purchasing the car. Unfortunately he did not have a great experience and was left with a full performance package that barely made over that of a similar car with only an intake upgrade, along with very poor driveability. After doing some research, he decided to give Vengeance Racing a call to take care of his issues and make the car perform as intended.
After a thorough tear-down and inspection of parts installed on the car as well as overall condition of the engine, the only aftermarket items that we opted to retain were the cold air box and longtube header system. With the installation of our CNC ported LT4 cylinder heads, Stage II custom camshaft and a replacement set of pistons/rings/rod bolts & bearings due to the previous tune the car was ready to be brought back to life. However, our customer did decide to add on an AlkyControl dual nozzle methanol system and E85 flex fuel sensor after seeing the great results from these items on our other customer's builds.
The result is 715rwhp with E85/65% and 752rwtq! With Pump it's 686rwhp with 701rwtq! This combination gave the customer excellent driveability in both cruising speeds as well as aggressive driving, and also made a very noticeable difference in wide-open-throttle performance.
* VR CNC Ported LT4 Cylinder Heads
* VR Custom Spec Camshaft w/ 33% Fuel Pump Lobe Upgrade
*AlkyControl Dual Nozzle Methanol Injection System
* Vengeance Racing E85 Flex Fuel Sensor Kit
* B&B Fusion Exhaust System
* VR Pulley System
* Stainless Steel 1 7/8" Longtube Headers w/ non-catted X-pipe
