He posted several slips in this thread in 6/26 at 10:39. And one of them went 91.9 to 119.4. Is it really that hard to think he might have another that went 90.x to 119.x

I saw the slips. It did good. It was actually 91.96 to 119.06. I'm just messing around.

Still not necessarily accepting it straight up but from the other side of the world I've got no way of proving it either way, good on him and good luck to him if it's all true.

However I will happily give him credit and congratulations for 11's at 120mph with room for improvement in a manual road car and copping some of the **** and negativity he's endured throughout the course of this thread while staying calm and not being an arsehole to anyone, fair play to him.

Jason.

And I went almost the same slip as his 119 run and Dyno 430/406. Can't compare different cars at different times, that used two different Dynos, in different weather conditions; too many factors come in at play.

He is using a early ls1 cam. It's a cam swapped ls1. Those numbers are not bolt on numbers. Valve covers have been off also.

So nobody with a rebuilt engine can be bolt on?

There's actually several different ls1 cams. From the best to the worst maybe being around a 6-8 hp spread. None of the stock ls1 cams are good.

The best package would be the 241 heads and earky fbody cam, and they did leave the factory that way.

No matter what it's a bolt on ls1 at this point. Kinda hard not to be with a stock ls1 cam, heads and bottom end.

Imagine if it had an aftermarket cam. Then you'd really be hurt.

that's the 2000 motor. Early cam with 241 heads.

What if he'd swapped a 2000 motor in?

Say a guy wants to build the highest hp stock internal ls1 he can. But live in a secluded area. He could buy a 2000 fbody, but there's none around. Or buy a 2000 engine, but there's also none around. Or build your own because parts are easy to find and get shipped.

End result is all the same, just one course of action is more prudent than the rest.

Lots of 4v guys degree their stock cams because they can be very far out. But who cares

Not sure where calling it stock ls1 heads and cam is deceptive when that's exactly what it is. This is where the hurt comes into play.
