Default Are these Dyno numbers average for upgrades?

I recently installed Texas Speed 1 7/8 headers TSP 3"offroad Y pipe, BTR stage 2 cam, Comp Cams trunion upgrade, SLP lid and SLP dual-dual catcback. The car produced 386rwhp/363fptq. Are these numbers average considering upgrades?

worry more about how it performs not what the dyno says. dynos are tuning tools meant to show gains or losses and since a stock ls1 doesn't dyno at 386 id say you did just fine.

Hmm, I do agree that dynos are tuning tools, but if you dynoes the car on that same dyno previously before those mods, I honestly would say it should have picked up more. I would have expected that much of a gain with just the exhuast mods, but with a cam and lid, I would have thought it pick up at least 30whp altogether.

Im guessing both runs are back to back with the same mods. If not then I'd agree with you

The two pulls showing are with mods already. I guess one was the initial adjustments and the other the best numbers. I never dynoed the car stock but it should've been around the advertised 325hp for an SS.

average rear wheel dyno is actually 285-ish stock ls1. The advertised 325 is not a RW number.

Keep in mind that every DYNO is different also. You can DYNO that same exact car on another DYNO and see different results. Hell, you can DYNO it again a day later on the same DYNO and get different results. Depends on a lot of variables. Those results don't look too bad to me. I might have expected maybe a little higher, but the important thing is that the car was tuned properly and is running healthy.

Is everything else on the car stock?

Other than what I mentioned initially, everything is stock.

If this is correct, the the gains are about 100hp which is pretty substantial IMO. These numbers are with SAE corection too. Either way, the car feels really strong. I still need to do the converter before trying a pass at the track. I did a test pass fully stock and the car ran 13.6@103. My goal with these mods was mid 12s so I hope Im there.

If it were me I'd run it at the track now then again later after the stall. Just a thought

That was sort of my point. You're better off looking at the base and comparing gains and losses vs raw numbers. A gain of 100 is tremendous. I'd be surprised if you aren't in the mid 12's - especially after stalling it a bit

Dynos can't give exact numbers on back to back runs. With a NA engine the one I learned to operate on the number weren't too far off, no more than 5 hp. But I do remember on a Ford with a blower it could do within 60 hp or so difference, maybe it was 80. I can't remember now but with the engine warm and on the first pull it was a high number. Then the next 2 kept getting worse. Let it cool down and it pulled the best numbers. There's also weather corrections, how good are they done? Or more importantly are they not skewed to make their "tuning" look better?

For the record, not completely in its current state, put down 130 hp and 200 ft pounds...

Surprised you did all these mods before a converter. Best bang for buck mod for sure.

I have done a best of 7.69@90.9 in the 8th so far. Way better than what I expected. I have a few extra mods coming soon.
