Livernois Motorsports Stage one head and cam results
We have been working on developing our LS1 head and cam packages over the past few months. Prices are not final yet, but we did see some real good numbers that we wanted to share.
The customer Car we tested was a 2000 FRC Corvette.
Mustang Dyno Numbers
418rwhp
389rwtq
DynoJet Dyno Numbers
463rwhp
422rwtq
Overall, we are very impressed in how much difference the cylinder heads and camshaft made.
Here are some of the specs of the camshaft and the heads we used
Camshaft- Custom Livernois Camshaft 230/234 590/595 112 LSA
Heads - 317 casting, welded up chambers and milled cylinder heads to bring compression back to 10.5., Stock valves, Livernois custom valve job, and blending. Hand blended chambers. Livernois Custom springs (similar to comp 918, but handle more lift).
Let us know what you guys think, I will try to get the dyno graphs up as soon as possible.
The customer took the car to the track and was very impressed with its power.
It ran a best of 11.90 @ 122. w/ 2.1 60' time. The car bogged real badly out of the hole due to the stock gear. Seeing that we just installed a 3.90 gear, so he shouldn't have that problem anymore.
Thanks

How much you guys want for heads w/just valves and seals (I have springs and retainers that I would like to use)? I am local and have been wanting to change my setup for a while now...

My car is currently at Livernois getting their head/cam package. It should be done sometime tomorrow and I'll post the results as soon as I get them. My dynojet baseline with only a Corsa Catback was 317 hp and I don't recall the tq. but it will be interesting to see what kind of power it makes through the stock exhaust manifolds and cats.

Interesting,
YOu may want to note that a C5 will not show the power of an F-body on the dyne. Also, Im sure that was full accessory drive and even the stock pullys.
If this isnt correct please post..

This corvette DID have A/C and all the rest of the stock pulley system. You are right to assume that. And yes, typically a F-body will show a little more power stock.
