Default some nitrous numbers

The car is an 01 SS with lg g5 cam, TEA 5.3 heads and stock bottom end. A/f was 12.3:1, ngk tr6's, stock injector, drop in holley 255lph, short belt, 3" steel driveshaft and fr0d 9" with 4.56's. SAE numbers were 612/701.

Same car with bigger pills. The a/f was pretty fat at 11.3:1 and I was out of tuning time. Didn't manage to get the SAE numbers on this pass. Going to the track this weekend to try and better my 6.73@104 eight mile times.

Nice.. is it a single nozzle kit or a MAF ring kit? I'd like to know some more specifics on the nitrous setup. What kind of fuel were you running? What's the "off gas" numbers like? Also, how much total timing are you running?

it's a basic NX gm efi kit with a single nozzle and the standard -4 feed line and noids that come with the kit. 5 gallons of VP Performance Unleaded (99 motor octane) dumped on top of the end of a tank of 93 pump. Cam specs are 224/230 .581/.570 112+4 installed straight up. Before the heads, motor numbers were 385/357 with a nitrous tune and they jumped to 426/398 after the heads with the same tune. Added 6 degress of timing (28 total) and they jumped again to 438/408. I'm sure there is more on motor but I was there to get the nitrous tuned so I only made those three motor pulls. Total timing on the hose is 22.5.

I'm guessing the first #s are on a 200 shot and the 2nd are on a 250 shot Or atleast equivalent jets.

200 HP gain with a 50 shot of nitrous? That would be a neat trick! I would check your jets again. Nice HP never the less.

Brian Tooley--thanks for the heads. It's not hard to see that they work.

hc performance--I wanted a direct comparison of going from stock heads to the TEA's.

He actually gained 41 rwtq and 41 rwhp on the nitrous tune. I dont think you can compare a nitrous tune before the heads with a motor tune after the heads.

Nice numbers none the less.

I seen that he clicked off a 6.52 @ 105mph in the 1/8th, thats good for 10.20/.30's in the full 1/4.
