Default 422 results

I got my dyno numbers and car back from ARE. Results are as follows..

Stage III 6L heads w 2.08 1.60 valves (11.5 cr)
254/254 .648/.648 @ 110 (+2)
ported ls6 intake/tb
TPIS 1 3/4 headers
Stock pulley/stock airbridge/bellows

Car made 475 rwhp and 467 rwtq. Unfortunately, they did not include the a/f ratio, although they said it was 12.9/13.0

How much more power can I expect once the motor is broke in, and with 90 mm LSX & 1 7/8 headers?

These dyno numbers are lower than a lot of other big bore/stroke motors. I dont see how a fresh motor can be 70 rwhp off a similar setup, unless a pulley/intake/headers/airbridge/bellows makes that big of difference.

I am looking at the LS1 Edit file, and the VE and Cylinder Displacement tabs are the same as my 346. It seems to run pretty well, albeit a slight surge at lower rpm.

Does anyone know what effect the Cylinder Displacement parameter has on things?

Why not dyno again. You should have a higher VE with a bigger engine.

Thx John, what effect would this have on power, and also the driveability?

FYI the tuning was done by ARE, who was once held in high esteem, so I assume they know how to tune? Would VE and Cylinder Displacement have an effect on power?

Intake, pulley and bigger headers should be an easy 35-40RWHP I would think.

Dont forget this is on ARE's dyno, I have seen 440RWHP cars from other shops dyno 390 on their dyno.

Take it to the track, I think you'll hit 127-130mph easily depending on gearing/tire/traction.

The LSX may or may not help you out, With lsx and stepped headers I only gained 10 hp on a mustang dyno.

fwiw I have dyno'd as high as 537 hp and 480 tq and as low as 494 hp and 450 tq on different dyno's and have gone from 12.8 a/f to 14.1 a/f respectively. If the car is running good just be happy with it the way that it is.

The car was actually dyno'd on one of Nicks buddys dynos, as their wideband was broke in their shop. Not sure if this one is conservative, etc.
