Very nice DYNO numbers

I love this car just as much as I loved my SS ... I consider both strong cars .... (and yes, if I could afford it, I'd be in a vette !! )

Now all u have to do is get a KB for $3500. Run the 20psi set up on pump gas, through the stock manifolds, cats and exhaust and expect to see 617 RWHP! I have always been a stang lover i've had an 8 second race car to a 9 second street car. I'm with u bro-i don't care about the brand just the performance. I've thought about selling the Vette for a Stang many times, Ford finally hit it right with the Cobra. Now go get the KB, get a solid axle and u can run 10's@130 all day. Everybody has to admit dollar for dollar the performance of the Cobra cannot be beat! The only thing that holds the Cobra down is the weight factor-it weighs almost 700lbs more than my Z06! I'm waiting for the Cobra's to drop in price so I can pick one up as a dedicated drag toy!

Have you had it to the track yet? If so post some numbers. If not what are you waiting for? Nice numbers though.

Those are some impressive #'s! But am I missing something? 400 rwhp with just a K&N Filter Pack? Did they change anything from the 03 Cobras? I thought they were rated at 390 fwhp. Here in Vegas they don't run that strong stock. Low 13's at the track, from what I have seen. Anyways, congratulations!

Anyway .. I am happy with the results and was really would have been happy with 380rwhp
It should be noted that after heat soak, I made about 390rwhp (on the third run w/ the hood down - .. testing the FIPK w/ the hood closed). I am still very happy with even those results ...
It goes to show what a beater heat extractor should do for me ...

A buddy of mine had a fluidyne intercooler that worked well. As far as bang for the buck, that is relative. They sticker for $34-36 grand, Z28's could be had for 21-24k. I really do like the Mach One, which I think is the best Stang ever built. I like the idea of a Mach 1 with a blower or turbo, about the same $ as a new Cobra. It just needs a 6 speed. It just sucks there isn't a centrifugal style blower that fits f bodys. You'll really be blown away by a throttle body, pulley, and exhaust.

Do you know what issue of MM&FF that was. I still have a subscription and I would like to look it up.
