Default LG Motorsports 427cu in dyno results with AFR 225s

Hi guys,
I will get Louis to update this with the graph tomorrow. It is a 427cu in
C5R block with 4.125 bore 4" stroke Again, this is just a 427 cu in with full belts and Stock Z06 muffler The car is a Corvette C5.

We built a few other combinations very similar (without the AFR 225's) and we made around 510-520 with our best one coming in at 530! And our LG heads were no slouches.
We have all AFR heads in stock (except 225s for a week). we can match any prices or you can get our upgraded springs and we will also get the compression exactly where you want it before we ship them out.

Thanks

Stock water pump full belts full exhaust system.
LG Pro Long Tube Headers (1 3/4" with 3" X pipe)
LG G5X-4 cam
Fast 90 Manifold
LG/NW 90mm throttle body
LS1 edit
10.8 compression
int 2.080 exh 1.60
More details to follow.
Power peak at 6400
Torque peak 4600

Power= 565rwhp 552 rwtq

Notice the torque number. the power is above 500 rwhp from about 3700 to 5800rpms.
the power and torque at 5250 is right at 540rwhp 540rwtq
the torque is above 450 from 2700 rpms to 6500 rpms.

We will get the graph up asap.

Thanks
Lou Gigliotti LGM

Thanks Kumar.

The graph is up now. We had our first set of AFR heads FedEx'd in for this package.
The lift on the cam is only .600 and the cam is our Big block cam.

The headers are still our 1 3/4" LG Pro Long Tube headers We would probably use a stepped header to get the top end hp numbers up a little.

Thanks,

LG

Were the heads just "out of the box" or were there extra work done to them besides installing larger 2.08 valves and seats?

It said AFR 225's on the graph so maybe he got one of the first sets...... They should have come with 2.08/1.60's.

This was one of the first sets of AFR 225 heads. We just upgrade the springs and got the compression where we wanted it.

the cam is one that we have used on our Big blocks for 2 years. it is close to one of our new larger cams but it is still a relatively small cam so the car can be a daily driver.

This is a daily driver with manners. I hope we get a customer who wants us to build a monster version. but for now these numbers are pretty high.

for the Corvette guys here, these are the standard LG Pro long Tube headers that we sell for the C5 and C6 Corvette. 1 3/4 with Merge collectors and 3" X pipe and 3" rear pipes.

thanks
Lou G

Wow, pretty good for the first 427/AFR 225 combo out. Killer, actually. I bet big cube LS1's will be getting close to 600rwhp n/a this next year.

Here is a blower 427 that we did. Still a mild street car.
As with everything the bar will be raised as the year passes. I am sure that some of you remember when the 400 hp mark for a Cam and head LS1 was the plateau.

Thanks
Lou G
