LS6 intake and ported TB worth 30hp?
I took the car to the track with the addition of the ls6 intake and a home ported TB, I did also get an off dyno tune and add 4.10's. Last time out the car went 106.58 with a Pace MAF. 104.99 with stock MAF. This time out it went 109.40 with the stock MAF and Pace MAF. So were these two mods worth 30-45hp? Do you think I will see those numbers on the dyno?

On my car with Absolute Speed Stage II 6.0 heads and 231/237 cam my car picked up 8rwhp with a LS6/ported TB over the LS1 with stock TB. But this was at below peak power since I was having problems pulling it past 5800 rpms....
It was not as much as I was expecting, but I am sure it would have been worth some more if we could have pulled it to 6600 or so......

Whats up Moo. I posted this on the NC site also. I do have a cam, headers, Ypipe, UD pulley, and supporting mods in the mail.
Black Z. Can you explain where the 3mph over the Pace maf and 4.5mph over the stock maf came from then? How much do you think the gears are helping? I am not going to dyno again before I get my other mods on the car so I won't be able to prove any thing by those means. The weather was about the same for both times at the track. I am happy, just a little lost on where the power came from.

I would guess it came partially from the mods, the rest would be from the gears, and probably some better air, maybe some better gas yielding you a couple more *'s of timing. Do you have the DA from each track day?

No I don't have the DA. I tried to get it but the girl behind the desk just looked at me funny. I should have asked one of the trailer queen guys. I wasn't sure if the gears would add any mph. I do know that we took my old dyno fuel curve and tuned from that. Timing among other things were added also. Here is the other strange thing. Last time out (pre tune) the Pace MAF gave me 2/10s and 1.6mph over the stock MAF. This time it gave me nothing but a SES code saying High MAF voltage or some thing. I did ten runs, five for each, with only a tenth and .5 mph variance between the two. I don't get it. So stock MAF this time was worth 4.4mph and 6/10s over stock MAF last time.

It's not just the intake and ported TB, it's also the gears and tune. With those 4 things you gained a little under 3mph. Sounds just about right to me. based on your mph change, you should see around a 25rwhp gain. You probably got 10 from intake, 5 from TB and 10 from the tune.

I was figureing about the same thing. Do you think the tune made up for what the Pace maf was doing last time? Now the stock maf and Pace maf are about equal? I am putting a cam, long tubes, Ypipe, and UD pulley on next week. I will get it all tuned then. Do you think the Pace maf will be worth any thing?
