98 TA A4 bolt-on dyno results
Just got back from South Georgia Corvette's in Thomasville, Ga. Let me first say that anyone in the South GA/North FL area that wants to dyno should go to SGC! Owner Aaron Scott is a super nice guy and has a first class shop. Check out his site http://www.sgvette.com .
Ok, with my mods in the sig my car put down these #'s in this order on the dynojet...
1. 350hp/394tq standard (340hp/383tq SAE cor.) cutout open, TC locked
2. 350hp/385tq standard (340hp/373tq SAE cor.) Magnaflow, TC locked
3. 323hp/364tq standard (314hp/354tq SAE cor.) Magnaflow, TC un-locked
A/F was 11.7-11.9 on all runs...can you say rich! My hp tuner interface was in the mail so I couldn't mess with the A/F..I know there is a good 10hp or more left in it. So it seems that the magnaflow flows very well... no hp drop, but -10 lbs tq. I was to see a 26hp loss from not locking the TC! I thought the yank would be more efficient than that. I'm happy with the results and was impressed mostly with the good TQ numbers. I hope to have new track times with this setup sunday. Here are the graphs...The SAE cor. graph (last one) didn't show the TQ on the paper that printed for some reason so I wrote them down on the top of the graph.
350/394
350/385
323/364

Are you sure your color isnt Maple Metallic Red? I dont think it is orange red, they never made a color like that. If you search in the Firebird section of the forum, you'll see we all have Maple Metallic Red cars. Could be wrong, but its like looking at a mirror image of my car in your videos. And yes the color is very, very rare. I've never seen another Trans Am with the same exact color, seen a Firebird, but never a TA. I live in So. Cal so I should have atleast gotten lucky and seen another one, but havent.
