Default Torquer dyno numbers...

(copy from NW members forum)

Here it is! For some reason I couldn't get both HP/TQ and A/F ratio on the same graph, so I did two seperate ones. Not too bad for not really being tuned yet. I thought the TQ was a little low for this cam, but I'm sure the proper tune will bring it up. And damn, I knew this thing was loud, but when I heard WOT from outside the car I almost **** myself! I'm really gonna have to watch how I drive, cause you could probably hear this thing a mile off! Tell me what you guys think!

300 ft/lbs at 2700 RPM, that's very nice.

A good tune will bring your #s up a good bit. It's too lean down low and too rich up top.

Yeah, I had a buddy do a real quick tune on it. The only thing we really played with was the idle, startup stuff. It's his tune from his 231/237, as we figured it should be in the ballpark. With a tune tailored to the Torquer, especially with it's more aggressive ramp rates, I think I'll pick up a lot of power still. HPTuner should be in my hands late this month or early Feb.

When I installed the cam, I also did the PRC dual spring kit, Pacestter race LT's, and TSP Duals. The big thing I need right now is a lid, and I know I'm giving up power there, even aside from the tune. I don't plan on doing an underdrive pulley, and I don't forsee screwing around with the TB any more than I have now any time in the near future. (I'll be getting a lid when I get HPT later this month)

She fired up instantly, open headers and all. Warmed up and idled at like 900-950. Pretty much un-driveable, as it would constantly stall out when I let off the gas in neutral, and the surging was pretty bad. Typical large cam stuff. I played with the TB set screw, and got it to where it would hunt for idle, but rarely ever stall out. Hot starts were also a bitch. Very driveable, but a pain sometimes. Tune still needs work, but hot starts are no problem any more, and the idle is stable and very lopey at 850 RPM. I also backed the TB set screw almost all the way back to stock, and drilled the TB, which is working alot better.

Here is the scanned dyno sheet of the original run:

question, if u adjust the tb screw or drill out the tb hole to make it idle until u get ur tune, wont u have to find a way to put that back to origonal size after u get ur tune? or is this really not even a factor? was jw.

anyways congrats on the good #'s.. i hope the 233/239 im looking at will make good down low tq like ur cam does!

whoever tunes your car can adjust your idle settings to compensate for the extra air, the only time that hole has any effect is at idle.

Why'd you stop the pull at 6200 rpm? It looks like it's still peaking.

good numbers...your car is strong...i took a ride with matt and it sounds like a beast and pulls hard...too bad the roads were wet.

Rev limiter Yet another item on the list for when I pick up HPTuner.

Should be a great cam as well. The dynos posted by TSP show numbers pretty close to that of the Torquer.

Yeah, the only real difference I could see was that the Torquer made about 15 more HP up top. Could be due to alot of factors, though.

i just cant decide what would run faster with only a 3000 stall, which i may got 3500 later, a 3.73 rear, just dunno which is best n/a, or n2o, which one will drive on the street better, i assume the lope on both is nasty and prolly cant tell much difference there.

PLEASE post some corrected numbers. Uncorrected numbers can be WAY off, especially this time of year when it is cold outside.

When you get the A/F straightened out it will make more way power & torque.
