Default New numbers on 2000 SS cam only (STOCK EXHAUST!)

Well, finally got to try the cam thats been sitting on my shelf for about 3 months, (thats what happens when you own the place and want to get your own stuff done!) and we are actually quite pleased with the results. She made 350 RWHP and 347 RWTQ on our dynojet with nothing more than Race-Prep modded Throttle body, SLP lid, Race-Prep Ported MAF and our new "CA. sleeper" cam. Keep in mind this is through totally stock exhaust, a 12 bolt with 4.11:1 gears and heavy stock wheels....should be a real runner when we get the exhaust on her and a little more tuning. Allready pulls hard for what it is!

The specs for the cam are being kept quiet for now unless you purchase one from us but I can tell you is is on the edge of smogability.

Just to let all the CA people know, I am taking the car to the smog shop today to verify the cam will pass the sniffer, anyone interested can either watch here, or call us to place an order! Cam specs are as follows: 224/232 @.050 on a 114 LSA with .600" lift using stock rockers. I have these lobes specially made for Race-Prep to pass emissions cleanly and are NOT a catalog lobe. I understand people have passed with similar cams but the idea here is not having to use "trickery" to pass and also make great power. I expect to make around 410-425 with the long tubes and dual exhaust. I am also considering making a "long shortie" header and if I decide to do it I will keep you posted!

Good luck in making a 400 rwhp smog legal, in California, F-body. If you do then I am sure it will be a smashing success! Others will definately follow. Keep us posted.

Actually, with the right header and a true dual exhaust and X pipe it should be very do-able, I have seen people pick up 40+ with a good header alone and the proper X pipe design should net a resonable gain over the typical Y pipe design. The 400+WHP CA legal will probably only come if I design my own shortie style header though, as most shorties I have seen leave much to be desired in terms of primary tube length and collector design.
