Kooks 1 3/4 stock eng = 2 HP ?

Default Kooks 1 3/4 stock eng = 2 HP ?

02 SS M6 basic bolt ons dynoed 312/332 stock. 345/356 with bolt ons. Added Kooks 1 3/4 headers no other changes 347/361. 2 HP and 5 lbs TQ. Can this be right? $1300.00 for 2 HP. Any advice

I only picked up 10hp and 16ftlbs of torque when I got my supermaxx with cat and x-pipe,, hell my tune on LS1 edit gave me 20hp and 16ft lbs of torque.

Tune after headers? Yes, it will need th AF fixed...

Same thing happend w/ me in the past.... I had 352 rwhp at the time and gained 2 peak hp?!?!?!? from LPE 1 3/4" long tubes into stock cats. My cats were the culprit.

Do you have cats? They may be clogged? That is one thing to look at..... How does the car feel w/ the headers? You may have gained a lot of rhwp or torque under the curve, which was my case....

I only gained 2 peak hp, but gained 30 lbs of torque at 2,000 rpm...... a graph wold help if you had one....

you need a custom tune by a good tuner...will very very likely find a lot more power.

agreed. junk the maf and predator tune and have it tuned on the dyno with ls1edit/HPT/Flashscan.

Yes I have cats. I forget the brand but it is the Kooks 3 in y-pipe. How does it feel? feels like 2 HP. I can't tell the deffernce. Graph I have them but have no clue how to post them. Thanks

stock or z06, aftermarket MAFs seem to get more tempermental the more mods you put on them. plus the stock one is good for more hp then you'll likely throw at it.

as far as tuning how far are you willing to drive? there's strictly dyno, L.A.P.D, the dyno shop, and a few others. i havent seen any local tuners that i'd trust my own car too.

I am willing to drive werever I have to for good work. Who are you going to take yours to when it's up and running?

I looking for a charger for the camera. I have a camera phone and I am trying to understand how to transfer the pic to the computer. Tony Mamo's tuner huh! How cool is that!

Ditch the predator, it is killing you. Get tuned with LS1 edit. I saw a 25rwhp gain and 15rwtq with Kooks headers & cats.

Now that's what I am looking for.But how much of that was the tune? I was thinking 15 -20 with just the headers. Seams like every body likes LS1 edit. I will have to find a tuner I trust in So Ca.Has any one used the shops that Jrp posted?

how's the under the curve power look, i assume you have a before and after overlay? any DTC's being presented?

ya, its pretty bad *** Tony hooked me up with his tuner, im expecting good things. check the western forum for tuning reference, stay away from mike morgan, thats for sure. theres also the option of buying HPT or Flashscan and attempting tuning yourself.

Power under the cruve. Not shure never used a dyno before. I am old school just know E.T. and MPH. I have before and after,charging the camera now. No DTC,s
