Default 370 ci Iron block results......

We were hoping for 480's, but considering theres only 250 miles on the motor not too bad. We've still got a few more things we can do to pull a bit more power out of it. THe dips in the low end, I was told by Jeff at CAM, are likely due to slighly aggresive porting on the heads and loss of velocity. The longblock came from FFHP by the way, Brad and I spec'd out the motor. This is in a C5 Vert. Let me know what you think. Spec's are as follows:

Stg II LQ9's decked .030 (cr 11.1:1)
244/248 610/615 114+2 (nitrous down the road)
LS6 intake
BBK 85mm TB
Kooks longtubes/ORX/Borla (the quiet one with the huge mufflers, not the Stinger style)
stock gear
Spec 4 clutch
ASP pulley
38 lb inj.
Racetronix intank 255

just saw this post, we did do a port job on the heads that took the N2O in to account and on the juice this thing should put down some major numbers. the air/fuel looks good. we estimated approx. 460-470rwhp for the setup N/A but also hoped for a few more. add some cutouts and the numbers should pick up another 10-15hp

Yeah the catback on this car (the quiet Borla) just seems really restrictive. The customer wants cutouts so thats whats gonna happen eventually. It's only about 10 hp off of what I was thinking it would make. And yes, the spray will light this thing on FIRE!!!

Numbers are great for a purpose built motor (nitrous)

Cam is a little on the large side imo (might pick up more area under the curve with a milder cam that'll still pick up a ton on spray)

nice results!

I'm surprised that your power came on sooner than mine did. I pulled my 370 to 6700 with a 238/244 114+2 cam. I also only used a LS1 intake and stock TB, which I would think would make mine die out even sooner. Just surprised.

At any hurry up and get the gas on it, that cam is made for it.

Yeah this customer was into the big numbers and likes nitrous, so that was where I took inspiration for the cam. Brad and I had a few discussions on it and bounced some ideas off each other, and that was what we came up with. On the street, it kinda takes a second for it to kick in, but once it hits 3k+ it pulls hard all the way up. The nitrous is where its at for this motor though.
