Default Help picking a Dyno Tune Shop - Michigan

I'm about to start my install of MTI Stage 2E heads, G1 cam, and quite a few other bolt ons...A friend of mine said that there are some dyno tune shops that will re-tune for any future mods, but of course you pay a bit more up front.

I guess, can any of you confirm that, because I'll be addint Nitrous next winter I'm sure, and would love to be able to save money on a re-tune...I live in Michigan, but am willing to drive a good 400 or 500 miles for a good tune.

yeah, I know Geli and I've been to their shop...I guess I'm looking for the shop (if it exists) where you only pay for the tune once, and they will do re-tunes as you add more mods...

probably doesn't exist, but someone on the boards said it did.

I don't think APE has a lifetime tuning program, but I do know they charge less for the second tune than the initial tune.

Hey, pm or call me soon, I've been talking to a relatively unknown (but not new to the LS1-LS6 motors) shop who I may be going with for my h/c package, they use 2 different tuners, I'll give ya all the details. By the way, their engines have been in 2 recent magazine articles.

if you have a laptop you could always get hp tuners for the same price as a dynotune and tune away forever

I've been told before that Speed Inc. has discounted tuning when you go back. I tried emailing them, but never got a reply. Actually they've lost business from me because I've called them multiple times, sent multiple emails to find out things and I've never been contacted back. I'm wanting to get a tune after bolt-ons, and then possibly later again next year with a cam, so if I could find a place to give cheaper 2nd rates I'd like it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a Mustang Dyno will give you different numbers than a Dynojet dyno correct?

How are you HOSS??

BTW, we charge $535 for the tune, and depending on what you change the retunes can vary.

Thanks

Chris, good to see you online, I'll probably make it up there for my tune soon...and for what it's worth, if I do need a new tune by the end of summer it'll be because I added a nitrous set up.
