Default Dynoing with slicks? HP loss?

Just curious to what people have ACTUALLY OBSERVED in changing from say...17 inch SS rims and tires to some 28 inch ET drags.

gained 25rwhp, yes that was changing ON the dyno. from 17X11" SS 5 spokes to 28" Drags.

so you gained hp with the slicks over the SS rims?

I could be wrong but if the slicks weigh less it should allow more power to the ground, less rotating mass, should be more power.

this is truely a tough question. weight is the issue, but what you have to look at is psi of the slick. if there is tons of resistence on teh dyno with a slick at 15 psi versus 30+ psi that will make a huge difference.

383ss is the only instance where i have seen someone gain that much from slicks. most loose.

ofcourse i could do a dyno the same day with stock wheels versus my slicks. just let me know.

yup. I could harldy believe it myself. 30psi in the slicks.
