Default Lost power

Can someone explain to me why you lose power with a gear swap I lost 5rwhp when i changed from 3.42s to 4.10s the guy at the shop tryed to explain it but he really didn't know ether!

you didn't lose any power...it's like putting a stall in an automatic and then redynoing. take it to the track, i bet if anything you gained MPH and dropped ET..

I know it's a whole lot stronger but why does the dyno not show that. i am now in the mid 12s.

i read it has something to do with "leverage" on the drums, but I still dont understand it
