Default converter and dyno question

I have a th400 with a tci 10" converter. I put 391hp down @6600 on a dynojet. My tq was only 330, but very flat. Is a dyno an inacurate measure of tq numbers just as much as hp numbers, especially through a th400?

Sounds like they may have used the newest Win Pep 7 software...It really kills torque readings on stalled autos but is way more accurate at the point the verter reaches Hyd Lock, in the rpm scale...

No real way to tell. Mine for example reads 60ft lbs less than locked. On a dynojet with old software mine read 527 ft lbs at 2900 rpm...unlocked...You might try a different dyno location with older software?
