Default Baselined it today before the CAM!

Well i went in for a baseline at A&A corvette to see where i was at before i put the cam/ud pulley/ported TB in. Anyways i was happy with the results, put down 335 hp 346 tq. Thought that was pretty good with just exhuast, through a 2.5 inch y-pipe w/cats, no tune, and a 4.10 gear.

I'm putting the cam in this weeknd, and getting it dyno tuned the following week, i'll keep you guys updated.

I sure hope it does, spent enough time making a decision on a cam, but anyways thanks Patrick.

That he is, thats why i drove all the way out there for a baseline. wanted it on the same dyno, it was my first time meeting the guys over there and they seemed to be very good guys.

Lets just hope they can squeeze the numbers i want out of the cam

If it's possible, Charlie will get it out of the engine.

Default Update

alright well was finishing up the spring install yesterday and found on the last spring(figures) that it had a nasty nick in the valve stem. I spun the valve around to get a better look at it and you could see stress marks coming out from the nick. I did not do this and my only guess it it came bad from the factory and has just been getting worse.

Anyways i have basicly decided instead of trying to replace the valve, this will be a good enough reason to get some heads. Looking at prolly the dart 225's so its going to be a little longer then just a week before i can get some dyno numbers. I was really looking forward to see what this cam would have done on stock heads but on the up side i'll have more power .

You might be better off with the 205's they should make better average power over daily driver range while perhaps not quite as much at max rpm.
I think someone else posted on this and while they missed 7bhp from not going with the 225's they gained average tq over the entire range.

yea i'm still not sure yet which ones i'm going to get, going to give dart and a few shops a call about it. Talked to Patrick G a little about this and i'm thinking with all the lift i'm running(just under .650) i might be better with the 225's. But like i said i'm still researching and asking questions.

I think I know what your trying to say here, but thats impossible. They gave up torque in the upper rpms for more in the lower.

I'm running a 223LSK intake and 228XER exhaust 116 in my V. Results in sig. Obviously after Patrick's results, ready to order another cam. Let me know when your ready to go up there, I may tag along if that's cool. I'm curious as to idle quality. Thanks!!

Thats totally fine, prolly be in a week or so, but i'll shoot you a PM when i know for sure what day i'll be heading up there. I got it all torn down yesterday so 'm jus waiting on the heads.

BTW, those are some really nice numbers you got there for that size cam.
