First Dyno on my stock Trans Am
Just got done with my first dyno run on my basically stock TA. I only have the lid and such. But I ended up with 275 hp and 293 ft/lbs. The guy said this is pretty common in all stock TA's. I'm not overly disapointed in numbers before I start moding but do those numbers sound right to anybody else? Sadly, the graph got cleared from his computer after my runs (for some reason ) so I couldn't get it printed. I think hp peaked at about 5400 or 5500 rpm. Any thoughts?

doh, It was a Dynapack Chassis Dyno. I'm very clueless on the different dyno types. It wasn't a rolling dyno though. They had machines hooked up the wheel hubs.

Acually, my TA is a 2000 as in my sig. My 1999 V6 Firebird is sold but the guy who bought my old 1999 V6 also put it on the same dyno and got 133 hp and 163 ft/lbs.

I heard that the dynos that hook up to the hubs read lower as well. Those things are kinda funny, if I had to take my wheels off and bolt my car to the dyno via the studs I probably would passed. I think your peak #'s are about right for the type of dyno you used if they do read low. The only thing I would question is your power peaking out at 5400-5500 RPM. LS1's uaually peak out a bit higher in the RPM range. Correct me if I am wrong but should a stockish LS1 be peaking out around 5700-6000 RPM?
