TTP Stage 3 Equalizer Heads/Cam on 2005 LS2 GTO
2005 Pontiac GTO LS2
TTP Stage 3 AFR 205cc Heads - Finish Port/Polished by TTP
TTP Stage 3 Equalizer Camshaft
4L60E with Vig 3200 Stall Converter
Kooks 1 3/4" Longtube Headers
Kooks Catted Connection Pipes
Corsa Catback Exhaust
Stock LS2 Intake
Stock Water Pump
All numbers were done unlocked since we do not have a program to utilize VCM controls. The peak torque number is incorrect since it spiked when I first got into the converter.

I see it says "stage 3" heads. Typically stage 3 includes installing larger intake seats or massive material remove/total reshape, but the AFRs come with big enough seats to run the larger valve. What do you mean by stage 3? I have done a couple of sets of AFRs and you dont need to do much work to get this to flow more. Or is it just fluff to get your own shops bravado on the dyno sheet?

Brandon: First off, I kind of take offense to the "fluff" comment. I don't know why that comment was even necessary to post. We have named our two stages of AFR porting the Stage 3 (205cc) and Stage 4R (225cc). A lot of local customers have seen our port work. It takes us about 1 1/2 days to complete everything. We disassemble the heads and then port/polish them in house by hand. The AFR's are great heads, but we do additional porting to match up with the intake and then polish everything, 80 grit then 120 grit after porting.

I kinda assumed that I what you did to the heads. Yes I didnt need to add the fluff part, but there isnt much to gain from what you and others shops are doing in that respect, aside from $. Not my business, but unless you are doing bowl, curved wall, short turn, or seat work , they are still basically out of the box AFR heads. I have done several port match, catridge roll finish heads for customers (against my advise) and have yielded weak gains at best. Simply because you dont change much, save the fact you lose some velocity at the front of the runner, which can hurt flow.

Any back to back dyno runs you can post showing box stock AFR's and you're "worked" AFR's?

2c5s: No i dont have back to back. I only have comparison cars with same or similar mods with very different power gains. I have been looking to do this comparison on a donor car...
