Default Dyno of 224/224 114

I have a 2000 TA M6, last dyno I put down down 381/379 sae on a dynojet. Mods at the time were ls6 intake, headers, magnaflow catback, lid. But I noticed that the peak power was at 4900 rpms because I was running 15.8 af ratio. Since then I put some lanes true duals, ported thottle body, smooth bellows, UD pulley, and retuned.. what should I expect next go around?

Those are decent #'s for that cam. I'm suprised to see the HP & tq readings so close? are those hp/tq or just 2 pulls of hp? If they are HP/TQ, it seems like you are peaking too early. You need a good tune?

You could see close to 400rwhp if you added all those boltons and a tune. Your initial numbers are pretty strong considering you didn't have a ported TB or UD pulley (smooth bellows won't do anything powerwise).

Good to hear.. those are the hp/tq numbers because it made the 381hp at 4900 rpm's thats why its so close.

My first dyno with the car all I had was the 224, 80 series flowmaster, headers and a lid and it put down 367 in 99 degree weather with a pretty good tune.

That cam normally peaks higher than that.

It peaked at 4900 because it lost power since it was running nearly 16:1 af ratio

The a/f ratio has nothing to do with where the cam peaks.

What RPM did it make the 379 tq at?

It's also mathematically impossible for you to make 381 rwhp at 4900 rpm if your peak torque was only 379 ft/lbs.

Ok, I just pulled the dyno out, and it was mesured by speed, and cross matching it with my first dyno it shows 5.5k rmps is the point where the horsepower peaks and then drops from there. Peak torque was somewhere around 4.5k

Make sure that whoever dyno'd your car never touches it again. No tuner/dyno operator in their right mind would contiune to run an engine at WOT if the a/f ratio was leaning out as much as yours was. You're lucky you didn't lose your motor on the dyno.

Yes I know.. it was done by a company called JMS in alabama. The first run he noticed that it was lean, and the second run cut it off early... but it still hit right under 15 on the second run.

Were they measuring at the tailpipe or somewhere else? I've read that readings from the tailpipe may be skewed.

Yes, it was a reading from the tail pipe... but my tuner reads from the 02 bung and it still showed pretty close to 16..

Come to find out the reason it was leaning out so bad was that my injectors were running 130% duty cycle. I threw some 30lbers in there and if I remember correctly they were running 98%. And I know there was no vaccum leaks, and the pump is strong so Im not sure why its takin so much fuel.
