Cool Dyno tuned today.

The car runs great and it pulls like a banchy. I love it!

It did 427 rwhp and 397 rwtq on a Dynojet. Not bad, if you're into numbers, especially considering there are a few little mods left to do.

On a bit of a downer, my Bosch Corvette rear O2 sensors were switching pretty slow, and after putting some miles on the car it did set insufficient switching codes for both banks, but it also had these codes before the HC installation so I'm not surprised. I'm going to replace them under warranty from Autozone and see what happens.

From there, I'll be chipping away at the small stuff. Next will be an electric water pump and a ported TB, or a clutch lol.

Thanks to local tuning guru, Don at Dez Racing, aka Slowhawk. We, in our area, should consider ourselves fortunate to have a guy so knowledgeable and down to earth.

Like you side #'s if you are into them, as long as she pulls hard. Good results from a small cam setup. You probably have more power sooner and don't fall back until the top of each gear where most cams have peaked. Good real world DD. Congrats!!

Insufficient activity codes suggest exhaust leaks within 12" or so around the sensor. Your sig says you have a cat'd Y, how do you have the system setup? I never had any luck with every clamp/goo known to man. I was real hesistant to weld it all up but when I ditched the cat's I just said to hell with it and welded up everything and the codes went away, and never returned.
Nice numbers. Start saving for a rear end now!

Thanks for the suggestion.

When I have a look at the car today I'll bench test the sensor and also check for exhaust leaks. But when I scanned the car, I noticed that the sensor voltages were hanging close to 600 or 700 mV, which if anything would suggest the sensors were reading a rich condition, and that's not what I'd expect if the codes were being caused by an exhaust leak.

I have a feeling that the sensor simply isn't getting hot enough, and I have no clue how to correct that, if it is indeed the problem. I hate dealing with stuff like this!

Meanwhile my brother's Cobra is spitting out o2 codes as well.

What gain did you get from the Tunning? I go in 2 weeks and no clue what to expect.

My tuning guy didn't want to dyno it before entering some baseline changes. Then we went for a ride with a laptop running EFI Live. We then made a couple more adjustments, then hit the dyno. After that, the fisrt run was 407 rwhp and around 375 rwtq. After more tweeking and a few more runs it reached 427 rwhp and 397 rwtq. FWIW this was a safe tune AFR and timing-wise. And the final dyno runs were done with a core temp of 185 deg F (pretty hot), engine temp makes a big difference.

So I'd estimate that the tuning resulted in an increase of around 30hp/30tq.
