Default Dyno results AFR 205's and Stealth2 cam

Well I got to the dyno today and got the car tuned and finally found out what all my hard work was worth.
401.6 HP@6100 and 375ft lbs@5000 on a dynojet.

The car runs great and that Stealth 2 cam has a hint of lope at idle, pulls hard up top. The car did not even require any idle tuning, starts up and idles fine. The GMMG exhaust sounds completely different with long tubes, much tougher but not raspy and harsh. Thanks to everyone at LS1tech who helped me out along the way with this build.

I am not sure but I would of thought it would of put down a little more power through the manual. I had a 212/218 .522/.529 comp cam and 5.3 heads with stock exhaust manifolds also an automatic put down 391. I never had it redynod after the headers and true duals but I am sure I put down more than that. Just my opinion. But if your happy thats all that matters.

Nice numbers, but I'm still a little concerned about the abnormally short pushrods. You may be leaving some lift and duration on the table if the pushrod is at the very top of the plunger. It might make more power and quiet down if you use a 7.400" PR.

Default Dyno

I will be changing the pushrods to longer ones, you think i'll be safe with 7.400? I was thinking of adding .050 to what I have now and getting 7.375's. I am happy with it, I tought it might make a little more torque but I don't see too many posts about the Stealth2 to compare it to.

Good luck finding those. They may be available by now but when I wanted to install a set of 7.375", which would have put me at 0.100" preload, they were on back-order. I went ahead and installed the 7.350" and the car is normal as far as valve train noise, and it did 427 rwhp and 397 rwtq.

I was surprised to see your #'s.
My girlfriend(red car in sig) had that combo, but with an A4 and she lost power switching from Absolute stage twos to the AFR's. If I remember correctly, When Tony did all the cam testing for the 205's, the reverse splits did the poorest. FWIW

ThunderRacing has them... but I would still go to the 7.4s

I would highly recommend the 7.400"s too. Read those links I posted and you should feel better about it.

Default Push rods

Thanks for all the input and keep more coming. I will be getting 7.400 push rods for it and I might do the Harlen Sharp conversion on the stock rockers just so I don't worry about the needle bearing issue some have had. Thanks Patrick for the threads, They were helpful. I'm going to the 1/4 mile in 2 weeks so i'll post my results afterwards.

Hope the pushrod swap helps you gain the missing power.

Me too. Mill those suckers down to 59 cc and pick up some compression and some hp/tq as well.
