that sucks because everyone says the UD pulley gains 8-10 alone so that leaves the cam gaining only 10-15 hp....o man :-(

So many better cams. Even the baby 224/228 XE-R grind will be worlds better. I had that in my Z06 that my dad now owns and drives. I rode in the car today, and it purs like a kitten.

yes but if you have an a4 and go larger you have to change the stall on the converter, doesnt the hot cam get by without that?

hot cam is a comparatively small upgrade vs what's available out there. 15ish to maybe 20rwhp is probably about right for it.

I wouldn't hope for too much more than 360-375 with an A4. If it means anything my A4 stock stall (I know, retarded with a cam but I got the cam cheap!) with a TR 224, headers and tuned did a lil better than your bolt-on car. It wasn't that my car was weak, LS1 intake sucked, 853's suck. Now its good . Anyway like I said, I wouldn't expect more than 360-375 with an A4 and bolt ons without heads, and 375 is pushing it.

What were your final numbers/mods?

If your modding an A4 a stall should almost always go before a cam unless there is some strange hidden reason not to. A cam is almost worthless without a stall anyway in our A4's.

Before i put the heads on i was sitting at 375rwhp/362rwtq. That was with lid, LT's, ORY, crapmaster and tune. I have to go back and get it retuned since I added the LS6 heads, hooker muffler, and ported TB.

i gained 32 rwhp and 32 rwtq to make my totals 375/378 with LTs, ORY, TSP rumbler, LS6 intake manifold, lid, descreened MAF, and tuned (unported TB, stock Pulley).
these guys saying 15rwhp gains either don't know what they're talking about, or are refering to cars that have them with stock manifolds (or are untuned).

all he's adding is an U/D pulley and a hotcam. He already had the dyno and tune with all the boltons.

before you write off the hot cam, you also have to remember it has very little over lap, despite the 112lsa. i think its a .5* overlap, which is ideal for a supercharger, might not be the best butitll sound mean as ****

I just did a cam swap in a 01 WS6...buddies car, it has the LPE ls6 heads, ls6 intake,LT header. Went from the hot cam 386hp 381tq, to the 228R and actually lost 20ftlbs. Same dyno both times. Did gain about 6hp though.......time to go back to the hot cam. I just dont understand why it works that much better. I thought i would gain by swapping cams.
