Default Low dyno numbers, is my stall to loose for my setup?

I dynoed my car and my dyno(Mustang dyno) numbers weren't were what I thought they would be. Before the H/C with same headers, Vig 3200, and 3.23s the car made 280/270 unlocked and 299/311 locked with a 12.8 AFR @ WOT. On a 100 shot it made 394/466(I would say that was locked). Now with the mods below it made 337/287 unlocked and 350/334 locked (don't know the AFR, no graph). On the 100 shot it did 414/390 unlocked. He wouldn't lock it for a nitrous pull. The weird thing is the my NO2 pull started at 4600 rpms and ended at 6500 rpms with max HP/TQ at 5600 rpms. Is this normal? There is not much to look at on the graph. Is my stall to loose for my setup? I would post the graph but get it to load. I'm not concerned a whole lot with dyno numbers but I do want to get the most hp for my setup that I can. I went to the track that night, only made 4 passes three motor and one nitrous pass. THe best N/A pass was a 7.72@88 with 1.7 60' and my NO2 pass was a 7.32@97 with a 1.74 60'.The track really wasn't hooking that great. I know there is way more there with a better 60' time, just need more seat time with the new setup.

The mods are:
228/228 .588/.588 112,
Hand ported 5.3 Heads milled .025 with 918s, 2.00/1.575 valves, stock rockers, and flow 283/220 @ .600

Ported Ceramic Coated Macs with magnaflow catted y-pipe
Magnaflow Catback
Probuilt Race Prep 4L60e

You may be on that dyno...

Yes it's the dyno your thinking of. I not going to say any names and I'm not bashing the shop at all. I just looking at what I gained from my mods, 57 rwhp and 17rwtq from a h/c swap. I did also swap to a 3600 from a 3200 stall so I wouls think that would eat up a little HP but damn. I'm wondering if something is wrong with my setup. BTW thanks for reply, there are a lot of snobs on this board.

I'm running a setup similar to yours and I didn't make the numbers I had hoped for (also on a mustang dyno), but just let your time slips do the talking. I wouldn't worry about the dyno numbers at all. What was your best n/a pass before the changes?

It ran a 8.0 NA but the track where I live is pretty busy so I hardly ever ran it NA. My best time on the spray was a 7.17 before the H/C.

A copy of your dyno sheet would show a lot about your converter if you know what to look for. If you can get it to us, we chan take a look. We have a Mustang Dyno as well.

Mine doesn`t make the dyno numbers I want. But running it, she flys. A4 with stalls eat alot of power up. Let us see your dyno sheet!

It was on a mustang dyno, so your numbers will be lower. You annalizing it correctly by comparing the before and after h/c numbers. Your full bolt on locked dynoed about 30 hp below an average dynojet so your h/c locked numbers would be about 380 hp on a dynojet- still a little low. Your head flow numbers are a little under par, normal for a ported head is about 300 ish at .600. My ported LS1's flow a shade over 305. Your 1/8th mile trap speed reflects your dyno numbers. With 410 hp locked I trapped 91 in the 1/8th.

I don't think your converter is too loose for your setup at all. You only lost 13hp unlocked vs. locked on the dyno, thats pretty good. I would look into your tune or possibly massaging your heads a little more.

My heads are hand ported so that's way they don't flow as nice as yours or other CNC heads, but I don't have as much money mine as you do. I went the cheap rout and it shows. You really don get what you pay for. Before I had my H/C I ran a 7.17@90 w/1.50 60' but I think my messed up trap speed was due to a messed up 2-3 shift. My bst NA trap speed before the H/C was 86 so my 88 is two more mph higher in not very high for a H/C car. That's way I was thinking that something is wrong with my car.
