Default First Dyno Results

Car was running rich and had some idle issues after rebuild. Finally trailered it to a friends shop out of town to have it tuned. I was pretty disappointed in the results. It laid down 401/406.
382 stroker, 10.8 compression, balanced motor
LS6 intake, ported throttle body, vararam intake
stage 3 LS6 heads
TPIS headers, bassani Xpipe, stock cats
underdrive pulley
TR 224 cam (cant run much bigger due to race class)
4.10 gears

i figured it would be 430+

other than a monster cam, what should be the next mods?
my first idea is better headers and full 3" exhaust w/out cats
next i am considering 90mm throttle body and maybe ported LS2 intake

but an 03 Z06 went before me, with LG headers + exhaust, larger throttle body and intake and put down 340HP

Stingy dyno, the track is a better measure. But generally a bolt-on C5 Z06 is in the 375-385 range. So that would translate to your 430+ number.

If it's an auto car. The trans/converter could be eating up some of the HP/TQ. Like Azrael the track will tell you if it's the car or the dyno.

382 with 10.8 compression, hmmm. Could you mill those heads to bump that compression up. Get her to at least 11.3:1 or even 11.5:1 and you will be amazed at how much power you pick up. As far as a ported ls2 goes, why ?? How about just do it right the first time and pick up a used ported 90 combo, or buy a new ported 92 combo from Ron@Vengeance or Tony Mamo@AFR. Its a little pricey but you won't have to wonder if there is anything else to do as far as the intake. I'd also say stingy dyno too like others mentioned. A lot of c5z's with LG Pros and a tune make 370 to 390 rwhp, not 340. I think your track times will make you feel a lot better too if you can cut a good 60 time.
