tsp402 hp guess/
ok so a tsp short block 402 with 11.6 to 1 compression there ls6 stg2.5 heads and a ms4 cam shaft 92 / 92 intake tsp true duel exhaust. and pacesetter headers!
Where should i be with that setup as far as hp its a 6 speed camaro!
Also if you know of a better cam choice please chime in . I am using heads because already have them!

my friend has a similar set up with the TSP 402 W/MS3 112, PRC LS6 stageIII, Fast 90 unported, no A/C 497 whp. I forget the torque, but has a 12 bolt with 4.11 and is nasty. With a bigger cam and a ported intake 500+ would be easy. I think your set up should produce decent torque, but I'd go with better heads than the PRC's and a custom cam to match the setup.

hmmm!
That is the cam tsp told me to use or atleast suggested . I was gonna go with my trv3 and they said i would be better of with a ms4 and said i should be around 480 to 490 the the wheels with alot of trq!
I plan on upgrading headers but this last year and 3 months i have dropped 13,000 total on car with no2 rear end and suspension transmission (m12) and clutch . Now i just ordered block with all the fixins!

Few of the cam gods seem to think other wise?
Exactly. You don't need to overcam a big engine to make big power. An MS4 or T-Rex would be pretty good cams in a 402 for example with a FAST 90. The FAST restricts the peak torque to 4800 and the peak horsepower to 6300-6400. The VEs for that means an IVC (intake valve closing) of around 50 degrees at .050" on a 402 will make the best power under the curve while delivering an awesome peak.
The T-Rex offers an IVC of 49 and the MS4 offers an IVC of 48.5 degrees as both offer 2 degrees of advance ground in. So, they will peak a little earlier than 6300. But, you have a good match to your intake for the given CID.
The MS3 on a 113 with no advance has an IVC of 51.5, which is also very good. Because it's a little smaller duration wise, it will still make the torque with the higher IVC (also due to the EVC or exhaust valve closing). I actually like the MS3 as a very good overall power cam for a 402. I've seen 515rwhp 495rwtq out of small port headed 402s with the MS3. I don't know about you, but some of the huge cammed, huge ported heads are only around 520-530rwhp with 460-470rwtq. I'd gladly give up 5-10rwhp at peak for another 30rwtq everywhere below 5500
This was agreed by some of the top cam gurus on this board . I won't mention any names , but if it's custom ,I almost bet one of the two did it!
I am sure there is a better cam out there and one that make a few more ponies up top . But all's I really wanted to do it kick my buddies small block barracuda . It runs 7.20 in the 8th and 11.30 in 1/4 .lol! no j/k kidding kim! I just want it a solid all around car . The guys or should i say Matt @ TSP has tooken really good care of me . I will take him on his word ! He came off as a guy I could trust!
I do thank all ya guys on here for the input......... ur threads and other how to threads have helped alot!

It should be over 450 RWHP with a Fast 92 and TD's. You should get atleast 475 RWHP IMO if not more. I will be using an MS3 for my 402. I should have it done within the next few weeks and will be posting dyno #'s after I get it tuned.

I have the TSP "Texas Giant" in my 408 and with pacesetters it did 430rwhp through a power robbing drivetrain (9" and th350 w/4000+ converter) I would say with a m6 and a 10 bolt your looking at around 475. I agree get a cam more suited for the big motor and maybe look into some 1 7/8 headers

ill agree should be a nice street car. id say the exhaust will be ok and you should be in the 480-490 hp and TQ will be exact or maybe a couple higher. we have about the same CR and you have a touch smaller cam little less head though soooo..... good luck man and welcome to the 402-408 club i know i love it.

I am guessing 480+ RWHP - 490ish RWHP with the FAST 92/92. You may need the 1 7/8 headers to make 500rwhp
I have a similar setup
402, 11.1:1 CR, 238/244 cam and .613 lifts... 113 +2 LSA and 5.3 stage 2.5 heads . I will get the FAst 92
I have only 1 3/4 headers, but was being told , even with 1 7/8 headers Id barely hit the 500rwhp if Im lucky.. so like 490+ I m guessing... so with my 1 3/4 headers and that setup I was hoping for at least 480+rwhp...
Also through a 12 bolt, but aluminum FW, Aluminum DS, 25%udp
