Default Got paced by a complete dick yesterday.

Long story short, I was out cruising in the beautiful Indiana weather yesterday. (72 degrees, and for here in March that is awesome weather) Anyway, I had this fairly young dude fly up on my ***, and get in the left lane and pace me. He had one of those SL65 AMG's. Badass looking little car. BiTurbo V12. 612hp.

I was just wondering by how many city blocks this guy would have blown the doors off of my stock LS1? Anyone ever get in a tangle with one? We were rolling around 55mph.

I'm not too mad, just wished I had enough in my car to make his jaw drop and for him to reconsider his "look at the size of my $80k dick enhancement investment." It immediately made me wish I was H/C/spray, built tranny/stalled with some wide rubber out back though. Maybe even spray from that kind of a roll would have surprised him? Maybe one day...

Wow, good story, you must feel so violated

LOL, honestly, there's always gonna be someone faster. If you had the power to beat this guy then you'd be telling us the exact same story when it happened with a TT Viper or some other high hp car. I wouldn't worry about it, just enjoy your car and have fun modding it as you can afford

So imagine if you had even $50k into your car. Then he probably would have been embarrased.

And really I was just wondering if anyone has seen them run any times or ran one of them?

$200K down to $80K! Damn, I wouldn't worry about how much money he spent on it if he's losing that much of the value of the car.

As for the track, I ran one the first day I ever raced my 2002 Z28 at the track. It was my first time racing a stick car and I had LT headers, Borla, and a lid. I ran it on my last pass, which was also my best for the day. I lined up against it and, not knowing what it was, disregarded it as just some Mercedes. We took off and I blew him away until about 1/2 track where hs came around me HARD. I ended up running 13.3 @ 110mph and he ran a 12.6 @ 116mph. Afterward I talked to him and he said that his best run was an 11.9 @ 120mph. He seemed cool, but also seemed suprised that I didn't know what his uber car was and was suprised that it was fast

Supposedly its curb weight is 4080 pounds... with 612 HP I would think it'd do better than 12.6 in the 1/4. OP... I think if you had a nice 150 shot that would have surprised him, although that car probably has one hell of a top end.

Yea I bet it has a great top end. 11.9 is fast, but I really figured it would be faster. Also, didn't realize it weighed that much. Tiny car, figured she was little more petite than that. We were in traffic and a highly patrolled area, no way in hell was I gonna attempt to run him.

Yeah, I figured the same once I found out the power it made, but then he told me that he ran an 11.9 @ 120 mph and this was the first time he had the car at the track.
