Default 2003 Acura TL 3.2-S

My buddy for some reason thinks he would hang with me in his TL, he has driven my Camaro and knows that I'd beat him... But according to him I won't beat him by much despite the difference in power. I can drive the car pretty damn good, we're both stock except he has an air intake... lol

Think I should run him just to make him be quiet?

Well... we don't know what you drive, which would help.

A friend had a 2003 TL. It's a quick little car for sure. I think maybe 14.0?
We smoked an awful lot of unsuspecting cars with that TL. It's not quick enough to
hang with a LS1 though...unless someone was caught off guard.

A bone stock LS1 would smoke that car. I had a 2002 Acura TL Type S and thought it was slow. It was alright for a front wheel drive 6 banger, but it won't beat an LS1, no way.

Can a TL beat a LS1? Absolutely. I've ridden shotgun in a few races against
them and we definitely came out on top. But again, that shouldn't happen.

Were those races against an LS1?

It would have to be one crappy driver driving the LS1 to get beaten by an almost stock Acura 3.2 TL. Like I say, I daily drove that car for 6 years, I know it well. Snappy car for sure, but not in the same league as a car that puts down over 300 rwhp.

Depends on what your friend's definition of "hanging with" is......

I consider hanging with 2-3 cars max.....He may consider a bus or two hanging.

Did you read my post? Of course they were.

Listen, you're not telling me anything that I don't already know. I owned
a LS1 so I know what they can do. I don't care what the reasons for the
losses were. A loss is a loss. Plain and simple.

Apparently you didn't read anything I posted. It's obvious that a TL should not beat a LS1. But it CAN happen...and it has.

BTW...the guy that owned the TL also owns this car:

...which now looks like this:

I do say so...and that holds a hell of a lot more weight around here than
what you're saying.

First off, I created the forum that you're posting in.

btw, you can put the best driver in the world in that TL and its still not going to beat an LS1 with a decent driver. And what difference does it make what the mans race car looks like? We are talking about an almost stock TL against a stock LS1, not a race car.

Wrong again my friend. I didn't say that I created LS1Tech. I said I created the forum that you're posting in...and I did (Dyno & Bench Racing Forum).
Who in the hell are you anyway?

You're not real smart are you? Your reading comprehension skills are lacking severely.

Why is it so hard for you to grasp this concept?

Dude just drop it. You making it seem like this is a terrible race. If it is then the op shouldn't race 2v mustangs either.

Since the OP is going to be prepared I call a one bus victory if they run to 110 or so. Not a terribly wide margin but not terribly close either. The type s is a pretty quick car ie they run about as fast a 2v pi mustang.

You COULD lose to a mustang if you missed a shift or something they are still decently quick. Same deal with the TL.

And I've seen stock ls1s that run high 13s low 14s. Depends on the driver and the car. If the OP can drive and his car runs well he's got it.
