LS2 - what kind of HP/TQ numbers should I expect?
I'm currently looking at buying a used LS2 that came out of a GTO. I've been out of touch with the American V8's for awhile, so I'm a little unsure of the power and torque figures this engine should put out.
Here is the information I know:
-2006 GTO LS2 shortblock - stock bottom end
-Texas-Speed PRC CnC ported LS3 heads http://www.texas-speed.com/p-1179-pr...ted-heads.aspx
-Lightweight s/s valves, dual springs
-Comp Pushrods, LS7 lifters, Comp Cams trunion rebuild kit on LS3 rockers
-LS3 intake, LS3 injectors
-Doesnt have a cam yet, but the recommended bumpstick is a Patrick G spec'd cam: 226/234 .598/.612" 114LSA +2 cam ground with EPS lobes on the intake and quiet LXL lobes on the exhaust
I plan on putting this into an FD RX7 with a T56 or T56 magnum.
The seller says with that cam it should make 460-480rwhp/410-430rwtq depending on fuel octane used and dyno. Does that sound reasonable? If not, what would need to be done to get it up around 480++rwhp? Also, does the recommended cam sound good for the power I'd like and the fact it's going in a 2700lb car?
Thanks!

So a little better flowing head, like the TFS 225, and a bigger cam might do the trick to bump it up to the 500whp range then?
The engine I was looking at might not be for sale any longer, but I may just buy a stock LS2 and build it, so everyone's suggestions are still welcome on how to achieve 480-500whp.
Thanks!
