Default Estimated Numbers

Hey guys im getting ready to undergo my first head cam swap and i was hoping i could get some estimates on what the numbers might be.

BTR stage IV cam 235/242 .621"/.592" 111+3
Stock 243's
Hardend 7.400 pushrods
GM MLS gaskets
(was also hoping someone could help me calculate the compression)
LS6 Intake
FTP 98mm LID
TSP 1 7/8 Headers
X pipe with full exhaust
3600 stall

All supporting components

Car last dynoed made 342 with just full exhaust.

i know dynos are just a tool but i would like to know what it should come in at just in case it seems low

Thanks Walker

The compression was what I really wanted to know. I don't really know how to calculate it and to the life of me Google wasn't helping.

Summit racing has a good compression calculator. (Sorry if breaking rules as non sponser)

Bore size = 3.893
Stroke = 3.622
Chamber Volume = 64cc

Most ls1 pistons are .006" out of the hole.

Which equal -1cc

Deck will be calculated as 0

MLS gasket =.051" they may compress to .049"

Consider adding lifters to your build list. Much easier while it's already apart. Especially consider lifters with link bars. There's another thread on here where an entire engine was lost from a lifter failure.

Pretty nice numbers for only exhaust. I'd guess 415-425hp, 385-395tq.

I got the morel 5315 lifters. I'm making sure I don't have any weak points in the build. I have done a ton of research.

No will be perfectly fine .

Don't forget Injectors as you'll be needing them soon. Bet you hit 100% DC once this is completed.

Make sure you measure PR length. From reading on this site since joining, 99.9% of lifter/cam failures are a result of poor or lack of valve train setup knowledge.

Rather than admit fault, it appears some manufactures get drug through the mud.

By no means am I concluding you don't understand, just emphasizing the importance.

I have read alot about that and it is by far my biggest concern at this point I have ordered a length checker just in case. If I need to I will over night new rods.

Certainly the correct way to do it. This is not the area to speed through, take your time and measure the adjustable pushrod with a set of calipers for accurate measurements.

It's not difficult.
