This is a pre-release to test the waters and see if anyone is interested in participating. I am a firefighter in Garden City Park and every year we raise money for Operation Wounded Warrior. This is a fundraiser to donate money to soldiers who have been wounded in battle serving our country. The day would consist of a early departure, a route to be determined on Long Island, and a buffet style meal served back at the fire house. Also included will be raffles from the sponsors of this event. (All Muscle Car Related). This even is open to all old and new AMERICAN cars only. This thread is to test the waters and see how many people would be interested in supporting this great cause. Please respond to this thread asap as I am looking for a tentative date of November 23rd. Thank you and if I get a big enough response I will post a full listing and link to all the details.

Is there a military base close to you? I ask this because I work with wounded warriors daily and while I am on the west coast I might be able to help you if there is a base nearby. Let me know if I can help.

I know that the people involved with (maybe even the owners of) the Stephen Talkhouse club/live performance joint in Amagansett are heavily in support of the Wounded Warrior project.
Maybe you could contact them to coordinate something (use them as an end point and get breaks/publicity??)?
