I stored my car in an unheated garage last year, in the spring when I went out to the garage the whole car had cracked and broken in half, then it caught on fire and burned down my entire neighborhood. j/k

so then royal purple full synthetic will be fine in my firebird and i will make sure that it is regular 10W40 for the winter? and leave her sit outside durring the winter..
Leaving her sit outside wont be an issue...just wanted to make sure that the negative temps outsite wouldnt hurt the block/trans etc.. i cant afford to go out and buy another set up...just trying to take care of what i have..

I leave mine outside uncovered and drive it when there isnt snow and to much salt on the ground. You will be fine like said before if you have the 50/50 antifreeze.

I've been storing mine in cold weather for 7 years.
I change the oil, top fluids, add some dry gas, and cover it, that's it. I lay a tarp on the cement for a vapor barrier. Probably gets to close to 0* some nights. I just go out a couple times a month and run it for 20 mins. That's it.

It's worked for me, like I said.

Race your car!

Now with race fuel I drain the tank and fuel system out, drain the radiator, fill the entire thing with strait dex-cool so I know it's not gonna freeze up, circulate that stuff thru the motor with the elec pump for 10 min so I know it's all mixed in there good. Battery tender stays on the car at all times when it's in the garage so that's not an issue, but I do hit the battery shutoff switch to off anyway.
That's all I do, I don't worry about the oil, as I don't start the car unless I have to move it and it generally doesn't get moved all winter, but if I do have to move it I run a small electric heater under the car blowing directly on the oil pan ( I run a thick oil) to get the oil heated up some, so that way it's not like jelly. With the interval's I change it, it's not a concern anyway (every track trip, wether I make one run or 10 and 0 street miles)
Rocker arms are also loosened up so there's no tension on the valvesprings.
