Default PA Members...

...anyone know of any PennDOT facilities on the way out towards State College via Route 80? I am purchasing a vehicle from there and am in need of a temporary tag and was told that I could get one from a PA DMV. Thanks.

Most notary publics in PA should be able help you with that. There are a few "instant tag"-type places around but they are still few and far between.

Any auto tag place can help you as long as you have insurance in place on the vehicle. They'll give you a paper tag to drive home on.

Thanks guys I found a few places I will call tomorrow (One in Hazelton and one in Millville), hopefully it's just insurance I will need (have an old card with the same policy number).

Just call your insurance agent with the new VIN and have them add the vehicle to your policy. The tag place you use will require proof of insurance (a binder) before they issue a temp tag.
Hazleton is about twenty minutes north of me, what place are you using there?

No, but I'm sure they can help you out.
If you're purchasing from any kind of dealer, they usually have those services available.

If you have a AAA membership, use one of them. There should be a AAA office local to where you're getting the vehicle.

I believe there's a DMV in Bloomsburg, right off of 80. Much closer than Millville or Hazleton.
