Detail day at Slowhawks..
Well after a two hour drive me and Joe got right in to her.. I don't have any reall nice befores but it wasn't the worse car I've ever seen but it did need some love.
After a woll leason we split the car up and I attacked with the wool and compound (aka Liquid sand paper) while Joe polished out s most of the has with a cuttign pad and Otp polish. Next we did a final polish on the car with a finishing polish. after that I jeweled the hood to make it bright and shiney...
Joe at work....
Mid process..
The end result 90-95% defect free... the paint was beat with quite a few chips and some stray marks that need sanding to get out..
Don hard at work....
Lunch was great...... and a good time was had by all....

Looks great. I can vouch for learning to use a highspeed buffer. Ive been doing it for about 7 years now and it took some long practice to get real comfortable with it. Great job guys.
Now Don, time to start modding that thing. LOL!!

Looks great guys... Always nice seeing people taking the time to make a car look so clean and perfect! I don't use a rotary but for what I do my Porter Cable works nicely. The GTO will get a good shining this season, I'll just have to strip the wax that went on before storage...LoL

I'll stand next to you next time you get your picture taken. That way the only bald jokes will be about me.
(kinda like when girls keep a fat friend to make them look skiny)
BTW, that car sure looks clean. Is that the one that will be right behind me in this years 11.5 Quick Street class?
