Default LSXR testing

One of our customers has a 2007 Z06 which we put a goal of the most power with 100% stock drivability. The car has ARH headers,Heads reworked/milled at WCCH,ported TB,ported LS7 intake done inhouse and a Mcleod RXT clutch with aluminum flywheel.

Here are some pics of the intake.Nice quality but we will be doing some minor porting.Next week we should be getting the 102mm TB to top it off.

Also included a dyno graph that shows when we got the car with headers and tuned somewhere else. The final # was after the work we did and tuned. Not bad so far with 500hp and drives as smooth as it came off the showroom floor.

PS-nevermind the crank pic,thats a bearing swap where doing..LOL

i think the motor pic is not right? that doesnt belong here. lol

so it made 450 with a tune and headers?
are you seeing much gain with the headers on those cars stock?
my old mans car made 474 with a tune and bone stock everything else. im going to do a cold air kit and retune it soon, but seems that car was down on power? or just way off on the tune? dyno jet?

You wouldn't want to bring your olds mans car down and run it on my Dyno.Ussually a Z06 put's out 430-440rwhp here.

The motor pic was thrown in by accident from another car we're doing today.

We will see the gains with the stock 90mm and the 102mm TB.If you look at that thread the intake gained alot in the lower rpm area then dropped which shows another restriction. We are not about peak #'s ,this car is all about average power. We see a on of cam only Z06's making 550/560hp but have a big dip in the midrange. We're looking at making the most power across the curve which includes the most driven part which is 2500-3500rpm area.

No hi-jack here, Don, but tell the boys down Raynham way that there are 5-6 new Camaro SS cars lined up at Diamond Chevrolet here in Worcester....Orange like Dan's, Yellow, Red, Blue, Blk. Don't know how much over msrp (if any) they're robbing, but they've got some good-looking ones to check out...Best wishes. WJ

Prelim testing is ok.Gained 12ft/lbs of torque across the curve and 10-15hp from 4k to 6krpm. This is with the stock 90mm TB.Waiting for the 102mm to show up.

Just the fact that the intake is 100+ mm reminds me of the old WW2 field guns...

So if someone gets a little too far ahead of you all you need to do is drop a valve and blast it out to take the other car down? Mad Max anyone?
