Default Attention PA People!

Hey guys. A few of my buddies and I are trying to get a group of guys together and go to Beaver Springs Dragway some Friday night for the street car drags. Would anybody be interested in meeting up with us there? We don't have a set date yet, but I can post it as soon as we decide for anyone interested.

Friday nights suck. You only get a couple runs in. It's even worse with those stupid atv's and trucks. You're much better waiting for a test and tune.

For an extra $15, you have a lot more time to really perfect your car. I'd get 20 runs in on some days. And again, you're not waiting for those ridiculous ATVs and trucks.

Your best bet is to try and get in on a track rental. I think someone on the board had one rather recently. In my experience, prep is usually better.

Of course, it's been 4 or 5 years since I've raced there. It just sucked to drive down and only get a run or two in. Six runs would have been impossible when I was there on a Friday night.

Or just do a track rental for $400 for a couple hours, bring a bunch of people, run as much as you want while still profitting.

I've gotten at least 4 runs in every time I was there,........I think its a fun time going down on a friday night and racing. It's a lot more fun to actually race than just make passes all day and its awesome if you can win

It just depends on what you want to get out of it. I never went to win anything. I only ever went to the track to improve my times, so having virtually unlimited runs appealed to me.

If you prefer bracket racing, then Friday night is when you should be there.

some people dont like pounding the hell out of their car for 20 runs. thats why paying 22 and getting 3-5 runs in is perfect for some. ive been racing at BSD for close to 7 years now. and back when i first started getting more than 3 runs in on a friday night was rare because there was a bigger crowd back then. and those stupid atv's and trucks were not even running at the time. and even with those trucks and atv's the crowd aint that big anymore

Interesting that it's kind of died down a bit. The last time I was there was over the Memorial Day holiday back in 2007 before I moved to DC. I haven't been to any track since.

I first started racing at BSD back in 2001 (about the same time as you I guess). So you definitely know those crappy Friday's I was referring to. Ah... memories...

i used to go every friday a few years ago and i really liked it. there used to be ALOT of cars, too but bob has added way too many classes to run in a few hours. haven't been there for a couple years but i always enjoyed going on the holiday weekends. if anbody is going to have any rentals or a test and tune in october, even numidia, lemme know. i'm going to need to get the car dialed in after the install.
