Default Paint opinions?

Well I'm looking to paint my Firebird in the next few months. I want to get away from the red color, I feel it is way too attracting to the cops. What do you guys think would be a good looking color for a Firebird, thats not TOO flashy. I was thinking black with red CETA stripes, or something with a black base. Opinions?

if i could have my T/A be any color in the world it would be either pewter or a light gunmetal gray. i have black right now and nothing looks better than a clean black car BUT its such a bitch to keep it looking good. is the red paint in bad shape? if not, id keep it red.

Yeah keep it red unless you feel like dropping at least $3000 for a halfway decent paintjob.

Paints really faded on the front and back bumper, and has alot of scratches and dings throughout but I guess it wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't faded. I'm just sick of it being red.

you plan on doing the engine bay and door jambs too??? if not, stick with red, too much hassle and money to do a complete and correct paint job. but imo black is the only way to go, although the gunmetal on the new zr1's is sexy as hell

It's not the color that will draw the cops, it's the way you drive and how loud the car is.

Stripes are just as bad as any bright color. It's not like you pass 75 cars a day with stripes. You see red cars all the time.
