I was there over july 4th for super chevy weekend. the track is a really nice tack but it isn't very old either just went in the last couple years. I didn't run the track but from watching it they were hooking really well.

I attended the first NHRA National Event held there in '08... "The Carolinas' Nationals" last fall. Z-Max is a beautiful facility. They only used 1 track (2 lanes) at that event last year, as there were very few oil-downs by either Sportsman or Pro cars. They have the other lanes, mostly to keep a large program running along, in the event of major oil-downs....just move over to the other pair of lanes while they clean up the adjacent messed-up ones---this is what I was told by one of the track managers last fall. Maybe Pinks ran all 4 lanes, or Super Chevy as well, but at a National Event, they only run 1 pr. at a time...Track is right across the street from the Nascar track--Lowe's Motor Speedway. There's also a small oval where they run late model stockers, Modifieds, etc. right along side the drag strip.....impressive for sure.... WJ
