Planning a trip to Virginia...
My girlfriend and I are planning on taking a vacation to Richmond Virginia in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone had some good ideas of things to do?
Might go to Busch Gardens, Virginia Beach, Washington DC...
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Why oh why are you going to Richmond? Haha
Check out Kings Dominion, Bush Gardens, Va Beach, go over to the eastern shore and go across Chesapeake Bay. Orrrr you could travel west from Richmond and see the awesome countryside of Farmville/Lexington. You could easily go to Luray Caverns which is pretty cool (and there's an antique car museum right next door).

Thanks for all of the ideas. I'll be sure to check them out!
lol! My GF's brother lives there, so we're able to stay there for free. There is a lot more to do there than in Canada.
Has anyone been to Water Country USA? Is it any good?

The Outerbanks isn't too far away from VA Beach. It's a solid 1&1/2 to 2 hours from Williamsburg though. Oh yeah and don't f### around with VA police, they don't take any **** at all just to warn you. If you have never been to the museums in Washington though it is well worth it. The Smithsonian, Air and Space, etc... You could spend a week at those easily.

I live in Virginia Beach.
Great Seafood restaurants.
Mahi Mah's has good Sushi
Fish Bones has great steamed crab-legs.
I like Rudee's in the inlet. Good food and kinda secluded.
At night on the main strip (Atlantic) they have shows (Bands, magic shows, ect...) Watch out for the drunk people though and don't **** off the cops. Oh and it's kinda funny, they have some Jesus guy out there calling you a sinner and tell you that your going to hell. Just make fun of him as you walk by, thats what I do.
During the day you can hit the beach, go parasailing, rent waverunners, basically anything to do with water, you can find it. Def. buy a boogie board if the waves are good, they are alot of fun.
Shore drive (Up north) has a few good bars. I perfer Kokomo's. They also have a good restaurant next door.
If your going to stay in a hotel, I have found that the Holiday Inn Sunspree is nice and relatively inexpensive. They have 3 pools and an outside bar. Also, I prefer the 1st floor units cause they have a sliding glass doors that you can open and walk strait to the ocean from your room.
Let me know if you have any more q's.

Richmond dragway is kinda ghetto but I see way more F bodies there than anywhere else but VMP (Virginia Motorsports Park) Dinwiddie is a much nicer track.
As far as visiting Richmond and Va beach, do you have a concealed handgun permit? J/K I was born in Richmond and also lived in Va beach for a while. Just be careful at night downtown Richmond.
Cary st is cool, so is Maymont park (another nice place to take the gf)
At the beach people cruise Atlantic Ave a lot and meet up in random parking lots around town. If you like Italian food check out Fredericko's on Independence. Take 264 E, take Independence "Pembrooke" exit when you pass the Va Beach Blvd intersection it is in a strip mall on the left. The sign looks like the "Fredericks of Hollywood" sign. Best Italian food around and decent prices.
